how many times does an engineer mix/ master a song for an artist before the artist feels like the song is ready to release?

Artist: how many times do you send a song back for edits until you feel like a song is ready?

@siairashawn Yeah we up to like 8 mix/master right now with one engineer and now gonna outsource someone else to mix it from scratch cause it’s not there yet and then getting it mastered by the original engineer smh lol I’m like does it normally take this long oh my god!
