i have a buddy who ran up $1K to $200K during covid, blew his port twice since then. he's now up $2.7M trading stocks in the last 3-6 months. i've talked to people recently who don't know what a market cap is or do any research about stocks they buy and just use AI to pick stocks to trade for them and they're up 100% on their portfolio this year.

dumb money is coming to crypto soon and the last time this happened it lead to dogecoin hitting $88 billion+ market cap.

sometimes i'm jealous of people who just don't care about money. like genuinely don't think about it.

my buddy goes to work, comes home, coaches his kid's baseball team, watches tv. he's never once checked a crypto chart or calculated his net worth or stayed up until midnight researching.

he's perfectly happy. maybe happier than me honestly.

i can't turn my brain off. i'm always calculating. always optimizing. always thinking about the next move. it's made me wealthy but i'm not sure it's made me happier than the guy who just lives his life without keeping score.

the irony of financial freedom is that the personality type that achieves it is usually the same personality type that can't enjoy it. you're too busy chasing the next number.

UsePod is a two-sided marketplace for LLM inference. Independent operators run open-weight models on their own GPUs or bring their keys to other services (OpenRouter, Venice, etc.), set their own per-token prices, and earn USDC on every request served.

Users send standard OpenAI- or Anthropic-compatible requests; they use the same SDKs, same base URL pattern. Centralized providers stay on as an always-available fallback.

Settlement is per-request, on @solana, no token required.
