A Gol aircraft was damaged during boarding at São Paulo International Airport (GRU) on Wednesday morning (19), after a passenger bus struck the left wingtip of a Boeing 737 MAX 8.

The aircraft was preparing for flight G3 7480 to Asunción, Paraguay, when the operational bus made contact with the plane while maneuvering in the apron area. Videos recorded by passengers show the bus positioned beneath the aircraft’s left wing, with the impact affecting the winglet.

Following the incident, Gol removed the aircraft from service for inspection and maintenance. The airline replaced it with another Boeing 737 MAX, so the flight was not cancelled but was delayed by about an hour.

Fortunately, there were no reports of injuries. 🛫
