It was a special day today as we celebrated this year's cohort at our Recovery Volunteer Graduation in Glasgow. We were inspired as each graduate shared their recovery journey, experiences and hopes for the future surrounded by family and friends. We were pleased to be joined by Rt Rev Rosie Frew, Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland and @MareeToddMSP, Minister for Drugs and Alcohol Policy and Sport who were among our speakers of the day. Thank you to all who came along and a massive congratulations to our graduates as they celebrate and begin a new chapter!

Last but not least, we are delighted to announce The Rolling Hills Chorus as the final choir performing at our carol concert this year. The Chorus was formed in Galashiels in 1992, its name deriving from the rolling hills seen around the Scottish borders. In 1995 it moved to Edinburgh, where, by then, most of its members lived. The chorus director is Rosalind Johnson, a rising star in the UK barbershop world. With over 40 members united by a love of singing a cappella (four-part harmony), its mission is to sing well, entertain and have fun. The chorus supports good causes and have an established charity partnership with Prostate Scotland. The chorus is a member of The British Association of Barbershop Singers (BABS) and competed at their National Convention in Harrogate in 2024 becoming one of the top ten barbershop choruses in the UK.

Excitement at our newest service 'Nevis House' as it officially opens in Inverness today. Opened by the Drugs and Alcohol Policy Minister, our residential rehabilitation service will support people from the Highlands, Western and Northern Isles. This extension of the work at Beechwood House will give people struggling with substance use issues a chance to rebuild their lives and look forward to a future with hope. Massive congratulations Erskine Waterfront Campus! The school recently received the ADHD Friendly Schools Award in recognition of its commitment to supporting pupils with ADHD. The awarding panel was particularly impressed by the support the school provides at all levels including calm areas in every classroom, a wide range of physical and sensory activities, and strong support for parents and carers.
