Bridgewater-Raynham 4 Central Catholic 1
June 2, 2025. # 8 seed Bridgewater-Raynham won 4-1 against # 9 seed Central Catholic in the MIAA State Tournament Division 1 round of 16.

Bridgewater-Raynham’s Madison DeLano was a force in the game as she fired 12 strikeouts and only allowed 1 run. Madison also went 2 for 2 at the batter’s box plus added a walk on offense.

Lily Berman had 2 hits and 1 RBI. Ella Maynard had a single and 1 RBI. Claire Roy also had a multiple hit game with 2 singles. Olivia Roy and Samantha Clay each had a double in the game. Avery Erlichman had 1 hit. Chloe Martin had 1 RBI.

Central Catholic was led by Bella Boyer and Jillian Clements who each had 2 hits in the game.

Bridgewater-Raynham scoring:
Bottom of the first inning 2 runs scored. Olivia Roy doubled. Avery Erlichman singled. Madison DeLano walked to load the bases. Samantha Clay reached base on a ground ball error which scored Olivia Roy for 1 run. Lily Berman singled to center field which scored Avery Erlichman for 1 run.

Bottom of the sixth inning 2 runs scored. Madison DeLano singled. Samantha Clay doubled to left field. Lily Berman bunted for a single to load the bases. Ella Maynard singled, which scored courtesy runner Maddie Morelli for 1 run. Chloe Martin grounded into a fielder’s choice which scored Lily Berman for 1 run.

Natalia Faria played a strong game catching. Claire Roy, Lily Berman, Chloe Martin, and Maddie O'Keefe all contributed on defense in getting outs.

Bridgewater-Raynham (16-6) plays next in the elite 8 round against the winner of Taunton or Weymouth.

June 1, 2025. # 8 seed Bridgewater-Raynham won in the round of 32 against # 25 seed Acton-Boxborough 13-3.

Bridgewater-Raynham’s Avery Erlichman had a double and led the team with 3 RBIs. Samantha Clay led the team in hits with 3 including 2 doubles and a single.

Madison DeLano went the distance pitching with 7 strikeouts and did not allow an earned run or a walk in the game to earn the win.

Bridgewater-Raynham had 5 other players with at least 1 hit and 1 RBI. Claire Roy 2 hits, 2 RBIs, Ella Maynard 2 hits, 1 RBI, Chloe Martin 2 hits, 1 RBI, Natalia Faria 1 double, 2 RBIs and Olivia Roy 1 triple and 1 RBI.

Acton-Boxborough was led by Aislinn Ryan who had 2 hits (double, single). Alexis Haff and Georgia Ammendolia each had 1 hit and 1 RBI. Alice Rosecan, Cassidy Ford and Shay Maria each had 1 hit.

Bridgewater-Raynham scored 2 runs in the bottom of the first inning to take a 2-0 lead. Chloe Martin led off the inning with a single. Olivia Roy then hit a line drive to right field for a triple which scored Chloe Martin for 1 run. Avery Erlichman grounded out which scored Olivia Roy for 1 run.

Bridgewater-Raynham scored 5 runs in the bottom of the second inning to take a 7-0 lead. Ella Maynard singled. Natalia Faria doubled to right field which scored Ella Maynard for 1 run. Lily Berman placed a perfect bunt down the first base line for a single. Chloe Martin hit a sacrifice fly to right field which scored courtesy runner Maddie Morelli for 1 run. Claire Roy sliced a single down the third base line which scored Lily Berman for 1 run. Olivia Roy walked. Avery Erlichman doubled to left field which scored Claire Roy and Olivia Roy for 2 runs.

Acton-Boxborough scored 3 runs in the top of the fourth inning, to close the gap with a Bridgewater-Raynham lead 7-3. lla Gillespie hit a pop up single in between first and second base. Aislinn Ryan doubled to left field. Alexis Haff singled to center field which scored Ila Gillespie for 1 run. Georgia Ammendolia hit a ground ball and reached via an error which scored Alexis Haff and Aislinn Ryan for 2 runs.

Bridgewater-Raynham scored 1 run in the bottom of the fourth inning to add to the lead 8-3. Samantha Clay doubled to center field. Chloe Martin singled. Claire Roy slapped a single down the third base line into the outfield which scored Samantha Clay for 1 run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, with two outs and no runners on base, Bridgewater-Raynham scored 2 more runs to extend the lead to 10-3. Samantha Clay doubled to left field for her second double of the game. Chloe Martin hit a hard ground ball and reached base via an error which scored Samantha Clay for 1 run. Claire Roy hit a hard ground ball and reached base via an error which scored Chloe Martin for 1 run.

Bridgewater-Raynham scored 3 more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning for a 13-3 lead. Avery Erlichman led off the inning with a walk. Madison DeLano doubled to left field. Ella Maynard singled which scored Avery Erlichman for 1 run. Natalia Faria grounded out which scored courtesy runner Alyvia Buccheri for 1 run. Gabby Cross grounded out which scored Ella Maynard for 1 run.

The games home plate umpire deserves a shout out and gets 5 stars as she was exceptional and one of the best seen all season with her professionalism, accuracy and care for both teams.

Bridgewater-Raynham’s Chloe Martin, Ella Maynard, Maddie O’Keefe, Lily Berman, Claire Roy and Avery Erlichman all made plays for outs in the field. Natalia Faria had a stellar game catching and also caught 2 pop ups in foul territory for outs.

Bridgewater-Raynham (15-6) will host # 9 seed Central Catholic (16-4) in the round of 16 on June 2, 2025 at 4:30 pm.

Bridgewater-Raynham 0 Bishop Feehan 1 (8 innings)
May 14, 2025. In a game of defense with the game tied 0-0 in the bottom of the eighth inning, top ten ranked Bishop Feehan got the games first and only run with bases loaded on a single by Bella Silva to win the game 1-0 in extra innings.

Bishop Feehan’s Bella Silva and Maddie Coupal each had two hits. Mylee Ramer pitched all 8 innings, had 11 strikeouts and allowed only 2 hits in the game to earn the win.

Bridgewater-Raynham’s pitcher Madison DeLano went the distance and had a strong game. The Trojans defense played an exceptional game keeping Bishop Feehan scoreless with runners on base in 4 different innings. Ella Maynard and Lily Berman had the only two hits for Bridgewater-Raynham in the game.

In the bottom of the first inning, Bridgewater-Raynham’s third baseman Maddie O’Keefe made two great plays for outs. One on a pop out in foul territory and the other near the third base line. Madison DeLano struck out the third batter for a one, two, three inning. The Trojans got all three batters in order in the bottom of the second inning as Madison DeLano with some beautiful change up pitches, struck out the first two batters. Maddie O’Keefe once again caught a pop out far away in foul territory for the third out.

Bridgewater-Raynham got the first hit of the game in the top of the third inning when Ella Maynard singled. Lily Berman singled for the second hit of the game and moved to second on a passed ball. With 1 out and runners on second and third, Bishop Feehan pitcher Mylee Ramer was able to strikeout the next two batters to end the Trojans threat.

Bishop Feehan got their first runner on base in the bottom of the third inning when Allison Cook reached base via an error. Zoe Pereira singled and Maddie Coupal was hit by a pitch to load the bases with 1 out. Bridgewater-Raynham called a time out for a consultation at the mound. The Trojans were able to get the next two batters out via a line out to Lily Berman and a pop out to Chloe Martin to hold Bishop Feehan scoreless and get out the inning with the score still tied 0-0.

In the bottom of the fourth inning, Bishop Feehan’s Bella Silva singled and later moved to third via a sacrifice and steal. Bridgewater-Raynham was able to hold Bishop Feehan scoreless once again as they were able to get the next two outs via a pop out to Chloe Martin and then a ground out to Maddie O’Keefe at third who fired it to Avery Erlichman at first base in time for the final out of the inning. In the bottom of the fifth inning with two outs Bishop Feehan’s Maddie Coupal doubled but the Trojans once again got the next batter via a ground out to end the inning and any potential score. In the bottom of the sixth inning with two outs, Bishop Feehan had another opportunity with a runner on base but the Trojans escaped again with pop out to center field caught by Olivia Roy for the third out.

In the bottom of the seventh inning Bridgewater-Raynham pitcher Madison DeLano got all three batters she faced in order ending with two strikeouts in row on fast curveballs to send the game into extra innings tied at 0-0.

Bishop Feehan was able to get all three batters in order in the top of the eighth inning as Mylee Ramer who has pitched a strong game got two strikeouts and a pop out.

In the bottom of the eighth inning Bishop Feehan’s Maddie Coupal singled to shallow center field. Alex Souza hit a bunt single to put two on base with no outs. Mylee Ramer walked to load the bases. Bella Silva hit a pop-up single in shallow center field which scored a run and won the game for Bishop Feehan in extra innings.

Bridgewater-Raynham (10-5) plays next at home against Braintree on May 15, 2025, at 4 pm.
