FREDERICK STREET BRIDGE DEMOLITION | KITCHENER, ON

A major milestone has been achieved on the Frederick Street Underpass Project for the Ministry of Transportation.

Limen Civil Ltd. successfully completed the demolition of the existing Frederick Street Bridge over Highway 7.

It was heritage buildings dating back to the 1850s. The project required the heritage façade to be retained over years to accommodate the new 18-storey Google headquarter building.

The exterior work includes repairs and the repointing of the building’s limestone shell. Despite all of this work, the museum remains open and accessible, with little to no interruptions to the museum’s programs and activities.
