@Anarchil1 specifically, arlathan & minrathous (tevinter & northern dalish lore!), hossberg & kal-sharok (wardens teaming up with blighted? dwarves!), rivain & antiva (taash’s fascination with the crows is incredibly endearing), and i could play a whole game just in the necropolis.

@Anarchil1 and that’s where the unfortunate lack of depth comes in :(. as much as i love veilguard and will defend it forever, i do kinda wish there were three or four games, each focusing one or two areas, and really getting into the nitty gritty of the cultures.

@Anarchil1 there’s no lore contradiction, though. you fight regular golems in kal-sharok, and we don’t actually know *what* the juggernauts guarding minrathous are. are they actual dwarf-made golems commissioned by the imperium? maybe. are they some sort of blood magic construct? also maybe

@Anarchil1 @Paravilintiniay early dev was for multiplayer lootbox shit. instead of focusing on one country, they worked on seven very different areas. your complaint is that the game didn’t spend more time telling you about minrathous lore already covered in previous games that gets a callback. this is why.

re the “could have done more” comment: due to an early game direction, datv was forced to go broad instead of deep in its lore.
