I’m in the most dangerous room now.
Not the studio.
Not the stage.
The waiting room.
I finished something I’m in love with.
Something I would bleed for.
And now I have to sit with it.
There’s a specific anxiety that comes when you love the work this much.
It’s not doubt.
It’s not insecurity.
It’s attachment.
I know what it is.
I know what it means.
I know what it can do.
And now it has to live without me hovering over it.
Nobody sees this part.
They don’t see the sequencing changes at 5 in the morning.
The emails I don’t want to send but have to.
The restraint.
The swallowed ego.
The patience.
The strategy.
The quiet negotiations.
They’ll only see the drop.
But right now I’m in the invisible phase.
The discipline phase.
Where dopamine wears off and structure takes over.
Where love for the art has to become protection of the art.
