FUCK THE PH GOVERNMENT
AND FUCK THOSE WHO VOTED THIS MOTHERFUCKING SON OF A DICTATOR.

My full fucking thoughts on the PH government's recent attempt to ban ban both Discord and Reddit here.

[Miles Touya 🔶 🇵🇭 @MilesTouya]

ah yes:

gambling sites ❌
flood control issue❌
punish the parents due to negligence of not securing their firearms that caused these mass incidents in the first place❌

"oh these kids, it must be the games, it must be these free social community apps!!!"

our govt is a joke 😪

[Kotaro Icy Tomoki ✞🧡✞『PATIENCE』 @Jiggly_Icy]

Philippine are so fck
- dumb government dont admit they needed money and finding escapegoat just to get money
- other dumb people milking content and making a saint out of a dead person just to get money

THIS DISCORD BAN IS HARMFUL TO FILIPINOS. I'm a single mom to an autistic child. I'm also an artist and voice actor in game development that relies on Discord for my livelihood. Please do help sign this petition so we can have our voices be heard!

https://t.co/YoS77HjLDr

Unfortunately, recent government statements and impending threats to restrict or ban major online platforms, including Reddit, Discord, and potentially Meta platforms which jeopardize the livelihoods of millions of Filipino remote workers, freelancers, and creative professionals. The digital sector supports a massive portion of our national workforce across IT, creative arts, and game development. A hasty, blanket restriction risks crippling these essential industries.

As a single mother raising a child with special needs, remote work is not just a convenience, it is my family’s lifeline. I rely on platforms like Discord daily for production pipelines, asset management, and real-time collaboration with global creative teams. Work from home setups allow parents, caregivers, and marginalized workers across the nation to earn a sustainable living while caring for our families. Encroaching on these tools severely disrupts our ability to work.

From the perspective of a parent working in game development, the root issue is not the communication tools themselves, but a fundamental gap in digital media literacy, mental health support, and parental oversight. Abruptly blocking communication channels does not solve online risks; it merely displaces them while inflicting massive collateral damage on law-abiding digital workers.

We call upon the Philippine Government to please reevaluate their position on this ban. I hope you can all help me sign this petition so we can facilitate proper dialogue and communication so that we can all understand this critical issue with proper nuance. That meets both the needs of safety and also does not encroach on the livelihoods of many Filipinos.

Philippines in a nutshell

The government made a lot of “Uh Ohs” recently and avoids responsibility

Then does the Uno Reverse by:

Banning unnecessary stuff to cover up their bullshit and blames whoever they can pinpoint

By the way we have a law about “Gambling” in the Philippines, yet you get slapped by lots of gambling ads ✌️

“It’s so fun in the Philippines 🇵🇭”

[Naya Torinko 💛🐥 @nayatorinko]

So it was never for the kids safety huh

[𝕮𝖔𝖗𝖛𝖚𝖘 𝕮𝖗𝖔𝖜 𝖈𝖍. @Corvuscrow69]

so basically Philippines government wants:

To Have:
Pax Silica
Online gambling
A.I shenanigans
Taxing Sugar based food

BUT

To Ban:
Violent video games
Discord and Reddit

WTF IS GOING ON?!?

[Limon 🍋🍸 | bartender vtuber @limoncelloVT]

PH government using these apps as a scapegoat when they literally still allow gambling apps even after making a law against it. What a joke.

[South East Asia Game Aesthetic @SEAGamethetic]

For those saying "they haven't ban Discord yet", CICC clarified:

1.Extension was granted ONLY for Reddit

2.Discord had reached out via a letter for discussion. NO EXTENSION HAS BEEN GRANTED BECAUSE DISCORD "INVOLVED" WITH SCHOOL SHOOTING INCIDENTS
