Starting the #PoECap last spring, I wasn't confident that I would see it through to the end. The whole process has been a lesson in humility, self-confidence, and patience(!!). I am even excited to dive into bigger projects in the future armed with the experiences I've gained!
Ravel and his contemporaries (Debussy, Fauré, etc.) always felt to me like they had the most intimate and poetic understanding of nature. Their exploration of harmony and texture was highly influential for composers like Joe Hisaishi, who wrote a lot of scores for Studio Ghibli.
Excited to share my poster presentation “Return to Equilibrium: Monitoring the Recovery of a Salt Marsh in Kingston, WA” at the 2nd night of the Capstone Symposium tomorrow! Hope to see you all there 🙏🏼🙏🏼 #envir492#poecap
@ClarkeMargaux Thanks! I was measuring the distance between tree rings so that I could observe patterns in their growth each year. Here is a picture I had to omit from my poster, but you can see the dark lines that indicate one year of growth.
