When you go from Diana's son to William Parker Bowles. He lost the goodwill and the love and adoration being Diana's son was giving him. He really thought no matter what he says or what he does hiding behind the Diana factor will always protect him. The fact he never stood up for her, hardly honoured her, always supported Charles and Camilla and of course his disgusting speech against a dead woman, calling her paranoid and crazy and how she hurted his family. How he tried to dismiss Diana's experience in the royal family blaming her, when he not once talked about the treatment she got from his father and his mother Camilla. He supported Camilla being Queen and he stood by her when she constantly smeared Diana's memory throu the press.
He lost her. Not only when she died but afterwards. He lost the connection to her, to her work, legacy, charity work and who she was. He failed to understand her impact, how relatable she still is, how every new generations connect to her. William you fumbled big time.
