Mother to 3 amazing people, married to a life-saver. Marketer by trade, Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor by circumstance. CPR saves lives - other opinions my own.

@KristenWalenga@SuperBowl@rihanna@NFL@FOXSports All for it- or anything that could bring together a network of SCA Survivors and Co-survivors. The journey back to me has been long and I am still not quite there - people “in the know” might be wonderful. Damar Hamlin, and the rest of us, will forever live in the shadows of SCA.
@BuffaloBills@HamlinIsland Welcome to the club, Damar. Only 1 in 10 survive cardiac arrest, but not without immediate CPR from real life heroes. There are ~1k sudden cardiac arrests daily in the U.S.. Without CPR from the likes of Denny, and my hero @timreeth, there wouldn't be as "many" of us who survive.
Cardiac Arrest workplace survivor, have been advocating for CPR/AEDs since mine in 2021. Marketer by trade, would love to help broadly disseminate the importance of CPR for providing a chance(!) at survival @TimReeth. CPR is the only pathway to hope. @nfl@american_heart
In aftermath of the MNF Cardiac Arrest witnessed by EVERYONE~ Wondering if @PfpmaMoms
could partner with @NFL & @American_Heart for a PSA on bystander CPR ♥️⚡️🚑
SCA survivor here - thrilled to have been given the opportunity to wake up with aching ribs for weeks from the CPR I received. CPR is aggressive, and combined with an AED, is the only pathway to hope from a cardiac arrest. #LearnCPR
As we continue to send our thoughts and prayers to Damar Hamlin, please take just a moment to read this thread from Dr. Abella. The importance of knowing how to administer #CPR and use an #AED cannot be overstated when lives are at stake.
@campi0495 SCA survivor here - but not for immediate CPR the outcome would have been different. Should be mandated in schools, my daughter called 911 while my husband performed CPR. Traumatic but successful. 🙏🙏🙏
I am the 1 in 10 survivor.
More than 1000 Sudden Cardiac Arrests happen in the U.S. daily with > 900 lives just stopping... like their hearts just stopped.
SCA's require intervention - no one can save themselves from it. CPR and AED's are the only chance at survival.
SCA is a public health crisis. Thousands of lives could be saved each year if more people understood the critical importance of bystander intervention with CPR and the use of AEDs.

As a survivor, I am amazed how few people know about Sudden Cardiac Arrest, the difference between heart attack, and just how large of a problem it is. CPR is a tremendous opportunity to save a life, likely of someone you know.
The number of people who die from SCA each day is equivalent to the number who would die if two jet planes crashed every single day killing nearly everyone on board.

Sudden Cardiac Arrest needs immediate attention and intervention. If someone immediately drops unconscious with no pulse- start CPR immediately and call 911. Saved my life.
It’s a common misconception that Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) and Heart Attack are the same thing
In reality, they are very unique. Learn to spot the difference to help save a life today.

When I woke up in the hospital and was told that I’d had an SCA 4 days earlier, I didn’t even know what it was. Super important for everyone to understand the difference and to start CPR immediately. Unending gratitude for my husband and 11 y/o daughter who sprang into action.
It's a common misconception that SCA and heart attack are on in the same. It is vital we all help to educate our communities on the important of understanding and responding to SCA.

@SCAFoundation @TimReeth I’m just shy of 7 months post- SCA. Think about it all the time. Grateful to be here: CPR (my husband), 911 (called by my then 11 yo daughter), and amazing first responders. Recovery is mind bending.
