Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan is right to raise the question of GLP-1 costs.
But here's the bigger question every employer should be asking: What's the cost of doing nothing?
Chronic disease is already one of the largest costs facing employers.
The medication is the catalyst, not the strategy.
The organizations that win will focus on outcomes, adherence, and long-term health, not just pharmacy spend. For the first time, employers have the opportunity to pursue a health solution and a financial solution.
For the first time, employers have the opportunity to pursue a health solution and a financial solution at the same time. That's exactly what we are building at eMed.

We've just scratched the surface of what these drugs can do. Diabetes, weight loss, and now potentially alcohol disorder too, with veterans one of the key groups being studied.
The through-line isn't the condition. It's what happens when people stay on the medication long enough to see the full effect.
Happy to work directly with veterans and the government on this.
We are honored and grateful for the opportunity to visit The White House🇺🇸
Thank you for the warm hospitality, and for making this an incredible experience for our student-athletes and staff!
