Even as we step into new our 250th birthday is a stark reminder that our strength remains our people. Our shared history and unshakable spirit prove that no matter the odds, Americans always find a way to forge a brighter path forward.
From my ancestors who came to this country from Scotland in 1632 two of whom signed the Declaration of Independence, to my Italian grandparents who came here in 1900 I am grateful for the sacrifices they made and the dangers they endured that their children and their children's children and so on would call America home.
