BREAKING: Trump punishes Pope Leo for criticizing his Iran War by stripping $11 million from Catholic Charities in Florida that was supposed to help shelter and care for children who enter the country alone.

Trump is terrorizing kids in America while killing them overseas...

“The U.S. government has abruptly decided to end more than 60 years of relationship with Catholic Charities in the Archdiocese of Miami,” said Archbishop Thomas Wenski. “The Archdiocese of Miami’s services for unaccompanied minors have been recognized for their excellence and have served as a model for other agencies throughout the country.”

"Our track record in serving this vulnerable population is unmatched. Yet, the Archdiocese of Miami’s Catholic Charities’ services for unaccompanied minors has been stripped of funding and will be forced to shut down within three months," he added.

The Department of Homeland Security, through its Office of Refugee Resettlement, has paid Catholic Charities in Miami for years to help house children who enter the country without accompanying adults. The Miami Herald describes the program as essentially a "federally funded foster care system."

Bishop Wenski said that despite there being a recent decrease in unaccompanied minors “it is baffling that the U.S. government would shut down a program that it would be hard-pressed to replicate at the level of competence."

Robert Latham, associate director of the University of Miami Law School’s Children and Youth Law Clinic, said that the gutting of funding and possible need to move the children elsewhere could inflict serious damage on their developing psyches.

"It’s incredibly psychologically harmful to be moved,” he said. “For little kids, moving repeatedly creates bonding issues and destroys the sense of both self and community. They don’t know who they are and where they will be."

“This should only be done with a lot of emotional support that you normally would find within a family. Unfortunately, that is not there in a group home setting,” Latham added.

Of course, Donald Trump couldn't care less about the suffering of children. This man was friends with Jeffrey Epstein for years and been accused of sexual abuse himself. He started his Iran War by blowing up a school full of little girls and his administration has worked around the clock to strip funding from programs that feed, educate, and house children.

While the administration has not admitted that these funding cuts are payback against Pope Leo, the point A to point B is apparent. Trump is the most vindictive man to ever hold the presidency. He has been relentlessly attacking Leo for criticizing his Iran War. This is him using financial leverage in an effort to beat the Pope into submission. It will not work.

Hargrove had believed. Hell, most folks had the way you believe in a lottery ticket when the numbers line up just right. But now the wind carried a different smell—something burnt and chemical, like the breath of a dragon that had finally woken up hungry.

He clicked the remote, and there it was again, the old footage looping on some late-night rerun channel nobody watched anymore. Orange-faced man at the podium, grinning that grin. Serious talks. Serious as a heart attack in a man who’s been smoking three packs a day since Vietnam. The screen flickered once, twice, and for a second Hargrove thought he saw something move behind the podium—a shadow with too many teeth, the kind that doesn’t show up on any treaty.

Outside, his dog started barking at nothing. Hargrove didn’t get up. He just sat there, the way people do when the future has already come calling, and you realize too late that the sorry one was never the guy who posted the tweet. It was the ones who’d swallowed the line whole, hook and sinker, and all the dark water underneath.

The wind rattled the aluminum siding. Somewhere far off, something that used to be a city groaned and settled into the sand. And Hargrove thought, *Well, Steve, you called it. But nobody’s sorry now. Nobody at all.*

BREAKING: Pope Leo XIV enrages MAGA by boldly calling for aerial bombardment to be BANNED FOREVER as Trump carries out a bombing campaign of mass murder in Iran.

“Airplanes should always be carriers of peace, never of war. No one should be afraid that threats of death and destruction might come from the sky,” Leo stated during a meeting with Italian airline ITA Airways.

“After the tragic experiences of the 20th century, aerial bombings should have been banned for ever. Instead, they still exist, and technological development, positive in itself, is being placed at the service of war. This is not progress, it is regression," he added.

While he didn't mention Trump by name, the reference was clear. Trump began his illegal war against the people of Iran by blowing up a girl's school, killing at least 175 innocent people. The American and Israeli terror campaign has continued apace, targeting civilian buildings and crucial oil infrastructure in an ever-escalating series of war crimes.

Pope Leo has not been shy about condemning the war. This past weekend he once again called for a ceasefire and decried the suffering and death inflicted by the conflict as a "scandal to the whole human family."

“We cannot remain silent in the face of the suffering of so many people, the defenseless victims of these conflicts. What hurts them hurts the whole of humanity,” said Leo. “I strongly renew my appeal for us to persevere in prayer, so that hostilities may cease and the way may finally be paved for peace.”

As it so often is after Pope Leo says something anathema to MAGA, social media is now abuzz with Republicans calling him a "communist" and demanding that he shut his mouth. Meanwhile, those same conservatives are incapable of even explaining why Trump is waging this war — unsurprising since Trump himself is constantly changing his story. For our money, we'll side with Pope Leo.

“The Trump administration has chosen denial, repealing critical protections that are foundational to the federal government’s response to climate change. We will not let the federal government abandon its responsibility to the people," James stated in a press release.

Jame's legal coalition is composed of 40 states as well as other, smaller groups. They're aiming to overturn the disastrous decision by Trump's EPA to repeal the 2009 endangerment finding, which formed the foundation of much of our climate regulation legal architecture.

The repeal of that finding — which held that greenhouse gases are a danger to public health and the environment — has long been an objective of the oil companies who helped foist Trump into power. They'll deny science and gladly burn the world to the ground if it means increased profits for them in the short term.

James filed her legal petition in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. as well as in California, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. Her coalition is arguing that the repeal is clearly in defiance of the science, ignores evidences, and violates the Clean Air Act.

This is the kind of bold action we need from our political leaders right now. We have to fight the Trump administration at every turn if there's going to be any chance of a livable world for future generations.
