There are many lawyers and advocacy groups highlighting problems with the care in nursing homes; however, nobody is -seemingly- willing to help the caregivers. Doctors don't prescribe patient handling devices because it is deemed to be for the caregiver not the patient...Really?

Really? This study was evaluating the effectiveness of stretching to prevent back injuries in nursing homes...If you are a risk manager and think having a stretching program will protect you from litigation think again! Providing patient lifts is better.
