❗️Zelensky responds to Vance. Ukraine’s president said that refusing to support Kyiv effectively helps Russia
“If JD Vance is proud of not helping us, it means he is helping the Russians. And I’m not sure that strengthens the United States.”
Zelensky added that Russia remains an enemy of the U.S. and is not in a strong position:
“They are not winning. We are in a better position now than we were 9–10 months ago, but it’s still better to end the war.”
He also said Ukraine received signals from partners to avoid strikes on Russian energy infrastructure amid tensions in the Middle East — but rejected the idea:
“We will respond.”

The war in Iran just triggered the BIGGEST energy shock in decades
Iran shut down the Strait of Hormuz — the choke point for ~20% of global oil. Supplies slashed by up to 8 million barrels per day (almost 10% of world demand).

Prices exploded: from $70 in early March → $100+ now, peak hit $116.
Analysts warn: if blockade lasts weeks → $150–200 possible. Two scenarios: Opens in days? Prices crash back.
Drags on? Global recession, inflation tsunami, $5+ gasoline everywhere.
