Every domain has its lingo and the word "Activity" has an important role in the context of Android. From the beginning, I teach students this lingo and make sure they become comfortable understanding it and using it too.

I started driving since I was sixteen and do not ask me to explain how an engine works. I am the worse car mechanic there is. However, this has not been an impediment for driving a car because I only needed to know the interface for using it as well as the expected output.

Early in the course, we learn about Git and we use GitHub for hosting the repositories. Sooner or later students start to wonder the difference between the two. I like to share with them my personal experience and how early I also confused those two.
