Meanwhile, Moninder Jatav, a gig worker who jumped to try to save a rich person while India’s authorities stood by, has been charged with extortion and arrested. He had been threatened that this would happen. The news cycle has moved on.
Nobody's asking the hard questions about #Ethanol
- it has ~33% lower energy density than petrol. You WILL see worse fuel efficiency. You WILL feel a drop in power. And long-term? what about Pre 2022 cars which are barely E10 compliant?
Rubber seals, injectors, fuel pumps quietly degrading in engines never engineered for aggressive ethanol blends.
Reliability concerns that only show up after a few thousand kms.
And the poor car buyer? Told this is "green mobility" while silently absorbing every cost.
Also, what will happen to resale values of older non E20 compliant cars when the blend goes upto E25, E30 Etc in a couple of years?
Worse still, buyers have no choice at the pump but to buy E20 fuel. No option for E10 or E5.
A mandate without consumer protection, without transparent pump labelling, without honest disclosures really feels rushed.
The environment matters. Energy security is paramount too. But so is durability, efficiency and basic honesty.
#E20 #EthanolBlending
A policy affecting 140 crore people; signed at 8PM, announced at a press conference the next morning.
No White Paper. No Parliamentary debate. No public consultation. No independent impact study.
Just a minister, a pen, and a family business waiting on the other side.
Let’s talk about what this “policy” actually is:
→ Son Nikhil’s company Cian Agro: ₹18Cr → ₹523Cr revenue in one year
→ Their stock: ₹37 → ₹638. A 2,184% surge; while “the file” was being drafted
→ Son Sarang: Director at Manas Agro. Also in ethanol. Also quietly booming.
Father writes the regulations. Sons hold the equity.
And we’re supposed to call this a “national dream.”
In any functioning democracy, a minister with direct family financial interests in a sector CANNOT unilaterally regulate that sector.
That’s not politics, that’s a constitutional principle.
Where is the Lokpal?
Where is the Prime Minister?
Where is the Parliament?
The dream isn’t about ethanol.
The dream is about a country where accountability has been fully, quietly, abolished.
MEA needs a less clichéd and more serious script for the PM's visits abroad, one where he engages with his hosts on substantive issues, rather than his own accompanying troupe and Indians settled abroad.

In 1982, Israel bombed the Beirut airport.
The Lebanese were trapped as the IDF marched into Beirut, massacring thousands of civilians.
Hezbollah didn’t exist.
Their absence of self-awareness is a serious pathology. They just killed 3k civilians (really, civilians) and are complaining that their invading soldiers are facing some risks WHILE INVADING.
For those who don’t know:
Israel doesn’t allowing the entry of prescription lenses or eyeglass frames into Gaza.
Not weapons.
Not military equipment. Glasses.
When civilians are denied even the most basic tools needed to see, it raises serious questions about the human cost of these restrictions.
The thing about libel is it has to be untrue.
A Jewish baby born today in a West Bank community will have full rights in Israel, a vote in national elections, and access to civilian courts; a Palestinian baby born in that same community will have no democratic rights, tight restrictions on their movement, frequent harassment from settlers, and no access to justice beyond what Israel’s unaccountable military courts mete out.
That’s apartheid. It’s just literally apartheid.
If you think apartheid is really evil, such that it’s a terrible thing to say about a country, well, you’re right, it is. That’s why we have an issue here.
Israel having killed every child, every sheep, every dog and cat. Having destroyed every tree, every road, every building in southern Gaza
Is now bulldozing the remnants.
Every gravestone, every sign that anyone ever lived here.
It's a holocaust
In what lexicon is ethnically cleansing one quarter of a neighbouring state "taking a much tougher stance". Shameful complicity in war crimes by @SkyNews@adamparsons
🚨 BREAKING: Al Jazeera confirms Israel bombed a Lebanese hospital for the THIRD time. The ICU is completely destroyed.
A mother desperately rushed to find her premature baby alive amidst the rubble. Washington is fully complicit in these war crimes!
BREAKING:
Israel is dropping white phosphorus bombs on civilian areas in the village of Arnoun, Nabatieh, South Lebanon.
These are internationally banned munitions — and Israel is unleashing them against civilians.
