Hoy escribimos en el blog de @socialfedea sobre el impacto de la reforma laboral en la oferta formativa de las empresas.

Our paper on Spain's 2022 labour market reform is now out as an IZA discussion paper.
We find that restricting temporary contracts led firms to advertise more training to prospective workers.
Joint work with @jonasjessen and @CVLanzon 👇
Excited to share my new paper with @jonasjessen and @CVLanzon on how policy can shape firms' investment in skills.
When Spain restricted temporary contracts in 2022, firms started offering more training

🚨 New paper alert: Exclusionary political rhetoric alone can drive people to leave their hometowns
In Poland, anti-LGBTQ resolutions by 100 local governments caused a rise in migration intentions, reflected in job search
Here’s what @jan_gromadzki and I found: 🧵
Is working from home just a pandemic blip? Not according to the data.
We analysed 1 billion job postings in 20 OECD countries.
The share of jobs advertising remote/hybrid work quadrupled from 2.5% to 11% (2019–2023) and has been stable since
🧵
How can employers support immigrant integration?
One way is by being flexible with language skills. In large European countries, 2%-8% of job postings don't require knowledge of the native language.

@OECD The new OECD Employment Outlook is available here: https://t.co/h38CE2UlOW
As always, the Indeed data series are available on our Data Portal: https://t.co/8eoKY0QKJU
🚨 June wage tracker data will drop tomorrow! 🚨
@OECD In the section on labour market tightness:
"Data on the online platform Indeed confirm a continued easing over the last months. In May 2024, online job postings were below their February 2024 level in all seven countries with data available."
Great to see our data featured in the @OECD Employment Outlook today.
"Data from wages advertised in job postings on the online platform Indeed show improving or stable real wage growth in all countries with available data, except Spain and the United States."
New data from the Indeed Wage Tracker 📉
Wage growth has slowed in most of the countries we track.
But the December uptick to 3.8% in the euro area suggests the downward path will be bumpy.

What do wages in online job postings tell us about aggregate wage growth?
🚨 Paper updated Dec 2023: https://t.co/hfvOsToJcz
Unlike other papers, we use wage data that's:
- Recent (2018-22)
- From 8 countries
- Advertised by employers, not estimated by job boards
