Broad question to the queer #langtwt community - how do you juggle your interests in language/culture and your queerness? Some languages I am really interested in, but idk if I’d even be safe to visit the places they’re spoken and that’s very discouraging personally
This is what stresses me out about language learning 😅 I’m interested in so much, but I’m not achieving any actual depth. I need to sit and focus now that I’m back into learning from that gross depression, tho I’m not going to curb my curiosity either hehe
Idk how I felt about Norwegian in January… since I stopped wanting to learn. The whole time I was thinking about some similarities from what little Dutch I’ve learned and I think I want to get back to that 😌 I just miss Dutch and find myself looking for content in it regularly
Started the Norwegian course on Duolingo today, going to learn a bit and see how invested I become. Any language learning is a good step since I’m getting back into the swing of things ☺️ (prob making a post about 2023 goals/languages in the next few days - I’m a bit behind lmao)
@adayabroad I replayed Shield in French before SV just came out, and I definitely sat there thinking about the English name for Ramoloss for a while once I saw it in Scarlet (which is so funny since it’s literally just Slowpoke)
Hey friends! It’s been 8 months since I’ve been around. Kinda lost all motivation for much of anything this year tbh, but I am back and ready to set goals for 2023. They may be small (read: more attainable) goals, but I just want to get back into the love of learning languages 😌
Ik heb geen Nederlands gestudeerd 😔Ik moet het snel weer doen maar ik heb geen motivatie om iets te doen.
Anyone have some Dutch music suggestions? Any genre is fine honestly
I’ve been listening to so much K-Pop recently like 👀 I always get the urge to learn Korean and then it fades, someone lmk why shiny new languages give me motivation to study but studying my TLs never happens
