As Canadians mourn with the people of Tumbler Ridge, we learned of a tragedy in Kitigan Zibi Anishinābeg, Québec early this morning.
Our prayers are with the victims and all those who loved them.
Our government officials are in contact with local authorities to ensure the people of the community receive every support we can provide following this heartbreaking loss.
There are moments when words feel painfully inadequate.
Today is one of those moments.
The heartbreaking tragedy in Tumbler Ridge has shaken our province to its core. Young lives have been lost. Innocent people are gone. Families will carry this grief for the rest of their lives. A small, close-knit community has been forever changed in a place that should have been safe.
As a father, I cannot begin to imagine the pain those parents are facing tonight. The thought alone is devastating.
My heart is with every victim, every loved one, the students, staff, first responders, and the entire community of Tumbler Ridge. British Columbia is mourning with you.
We stand with you in grief.
@realDonaldTrump People are already predicting that this will be the worst movie AND worst rated movie "of the century."
Fortunately, on the day that it opens, I will be busy doing something else more desirable, like performing a root canal on myself with a rusty butter knife and no anesthesia.
