Hollywood offered plenty of opportunities to get into trouble, but I always knew what mattered most was waiting for me at home. Shirley, our four daughters, our Tennessee values, and our faith, kept my feet on the ground through it all.

Years ago, I shared a hospital room with a beautiful 89-year-old woman. She was adorable… sweet, confused, often unsure of who her own family were. But late at night, something changed. She would pray softly at first, then loud and clear, and in those sacred moments the confusion slipped away completely. Her mind steadied. Her soul spoke. And it was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard. 🤍
