The Nigerian dream can only be actualized by the collective, purposeful efforts of well meaning Nigerians, aimed towards the common good of all Nigerians.
I am committed to the dream of a better Nigeria. Are you?
“Chelsea fan hate-watching Arsenal players at international tournaments… levels to this obsession 😭”
“Your whole tournament plan is watching Arsenal players? That’s not hate, that’s fandom 💀”
“You don’t support Chelsea, you monitor Arsenal players full-time 😭”
As a Chelsea fan, I will be hate-watching any country with an Arsenal player in the squad, particularly England, Spain & Brazil.
I can't stand seeing Arsenal players win because you will hear Ballon d'Or shouts from deluded Arsenal fans.
England has 4, Spain 3 & Brazil has 2.
You can dislike a player without resorting to lies or trash talk.
Saying Gabriel deliberately kicks or steps on players is a stretch.
I’ve never seen hate go so far that it clouds basic reasoning like this.
As good as he has been for Arsenal, I dislike those things he does.
He’s like Rudiger. Very good defender but vile and wicked. The elbow to Woltemade is one of the ones that pained me.
He’ll deliberately step on you and act like it was a mistake, he’ll kick you and be the one falling down, the way he falls is even more annoying, you’ll think he was shot with an AK-47. A very annoying guy.
Oh yes, if I had to choose one person to lose a penalty, it’s definitely him.
You understand that winning a football match requires the best players and a strong team. Yet when it comes to choosing a leader to govern a country—someone responsible for lives and property—you failed to apply the same level of judgment.
My starting line-up for ARSENAL against PSG for the Champions League Final (if everyone were to be fit before then)
* RAYA
* MOSQUERA (we need his strength and pace against Khvicha Kvaratskhelia)
* Saliba
* Gabriel
* Hincape
* Rice
* Lewis-Skelly
* Troussard (PSG can easily mark out Martinelli at the start. If he doesn’t have space to run, he is stuck. But Troussard can operate in tight defences and small spaces. Martinelli comes in last 20 minutes to run at tired legs)
* Eze
* Saka
* Havertz (he featured in a final before and scored the only goal. He will make better and more intelligent runs against the PSG defence. Gyökeres comes in the last 20 minutes to hold the ball if we are leading. But Gyokeres starts if Havertz is not fit before then)
ManU fans are the funniest people alive:
Me: “Salah > Giggs. The numbers don’t lie.”
ManU fans: “Bro, football is more than numbers.”
Me: “Bruno shouldn’t be near the Player of the Season convo. He plays once every 30 days.”
Man U fans: “YEAH BUT LOOK AT HIS G/A @talkSPORT
Liverpool are so lucky that everyone hates Arsenal. They’re arguably one of the worst defending champions in history. But come on, guys — let’s focus on Arsenal’s corners and set pieces.
Arsenal will win the league not because they’re worthy of the title but because every other team is not good enough. Chelsea, mancity ,united, Liverpool you failed the world
@jc___Obi@MySelf_Shane@talkSPORT Arsenal shouldn’t underestimate other teams but this clown can underestimate Arsenal. I blame Arsenal fans that allows f**ls like this gaslight them. Keep your life savings that’s if you have any . We are winning everything

How was this his first red card in club Football? Some of these tackles are horrendous. A player was stretched off the field more than once because of Caicedo? The referees needs to start paying more attention
2. Many citizens are concerned about the current administration and the tensions that have arisen in recent years, and they believe that greater international attention could help support transparency and stability.
Dear Donald,
It was good to see you sharing your perspective on the recent election in Honduras. We hope you will also lend your voice to developments in Nigeria as the 2027 elections approach.
Democracy is on trial in the coming Elections in the beautiful country of Honduras on November 30th. Will Maduro and his Narcoterrorists take over another country like they have taken over Cuba, Nicaragua, and Venezuela? The man who is standing up for Democracy, and fighting against Maduro, is Tito Asfura, the Presidential Candidate of the National Party. Tito was the highly successful Mayor of Tegucigalpa where he brought running water to millions, and paved hundreds of kilometers of roads. His chief opponent is Rixi Moncada, who says Fidel Castro is her idol. Normally, the smart people of Honduras, would reject her, and elect Tito Asfura, but the Communists are trying to trick the people by running a third Candidate, Salvador Nasralla. Nasralla is no friend of Freedom. A borderline Communist, he helped Xiomara Castro by running as her Vice President. He won, and helped Castro win. Then he resigned, and is now pretending to be an anti-Communist only for the purposes of splitting Asfura’s vote. The people of Honduras must not be tricked again. The only real friend of Freedom in Honduras is Tito Asfura. Tito and I can work together to fight the Narcocommunists, and bring needed aid to the people of Honduras. I cannot work with Moncada and the Communists, and Nasralla is not a reliable partner for Freedom, and cannot be trusted. I hope the people of Honduras vote for Freedom and Democracy, and elect Tito Asfura, President!
The recent pronouncement by the US government declaring Nigeria a ‘Country of Particular Concern' (CPC) and indicating possible military action should give every well-meaning Nigerian serious concern.
There is no doubt that Nigeria is experiencing an unprecedented level of insecurity with attendant carnage and the most shocking loss of lives and property. According to Amnesty International, over 10,000 people have been killed in Nigeria since May 2023 and as I have repeatedly lamented, the unwarranted and unprovoked killing of Nigerians is most condemnable, and all efforts must be made to bring it to a stop. It is equally important to state that the terrible situation is significantly avoidable with competent leadership and governance.
While the insecurity did not start with the present government, what is most unfortunate is the lack and absence of competence, commitment, prudent use of resources, patriotism and passion on the part of APC APC-led government/leaders to effectively govern, galvanise and lead Nigeria where no one is unwarrantedly oppressed and killed, a Nation where peace, truth and justice reign!
As democracies, Nigeria and the US have long been strategic partners committed to regional peace and security. That relationship should not falter. The present situation calls for constructive diplomatic and any other plausible engagement by both nations aimed at addressing the prevailing and disturbing security concerns. Both countries must work in concert and expeditiously towards that purpose. -PO
Nigeria Holds 2 Dangerous Health Records in Just One Year
Sadly, our country, Nigeria, today holds two of the most dangerous health records in the world within just one year—a double tragedy, considering that health is one of the most critical measures of development.
First, Nigeria now has the lowest life expectancy in the world, with an average of 54.6 years, according to the United Nations World Population Prospects 2025 Report. The report bluntly states: if you live in Nigeria, you are simply waiting to die.
Second, another damning report shows that Nigeria is the worst country in the world to give birth, with one maternal death recorded every seven minutes. We continue to hear heartbreaking stories of children losing their mothers during childbirth, and families losing both mother and child.
These reports are not just statistics—they reflect the daily experience of Nigerian life. Though Nigeria is not officially at war, our life expectancy is now worse than that of war-torn countries like Ukraine and South Sudan, all because of poor governance and a failing health system.
These grim realities expose misplaced priorities, bad governance, and the failure to invest in one of the most vital sectors of development: the health and well-being of our citizens. We must urgently prioritise healthcare as a cornerstone of building our dear nation.

Rivers LG Election: A Mockery of Democracy
The conduct of the Rivers State local Government election is rascality taken too far. It represents a double tragedy for our democracy when a Sole Administrator - himself illegally appointed - dares to conduct an election that should empower the people. This is not democracy; it is the outright desecration of its very foundation.
Such actions are unconstitutional, legally untenable, and morally indefensible. They send a dangerous message that the rule of law can be discarded at the whim of those in power. But the truth remains unshaken: illegality can never give birth to legitimacy. Any structure erected on a foundation of lawlessness is a danger to both the state and the people.
Nigeria cannot afford to continue on this perilous path. We cannot pretend to practise democracy while silencing the will of the people - especially at the grassroots, where democracy matters most.
If we truly seek progress, we must uphold the sanctity of the ballot, safeguard the people’s right to choose, and insist that leadership at every level flows from their mandate - not from contraptions that mock democracy. Only then will governance have meaning, and only then can the sacred bond of trust between leaders and the people be restored.

Again our President moves as the Nation bleeds
Amid the deplorable state of our nation in all ramifications, we have a virtually indifferent President who has continued to display insensitivity to our situation.
How can anyone explain that a President who came from Brazil recently and met with the President is returning to the same country, leaving the various degrees of challenges at home unresolved?
The latest itinerary of the President shows he will depart Abuja on Thursday, August 14, for a two-nation trip to Japan and Brazil.
The President will stop over in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, before proceeding to Japan. In Japan, President Tinubu will attend the Ninth Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD9) in the City of Yokohama from August 20 to 22. The itinerary is silent on the President's return date to his visibly troubled nation.
The situation we find ourselves in is deeply worrisome. Our President, who has not found it worthy to visit any of our troubled states, takes joy in travelling to foreign countries at the slightest invitation or excuse. Often departing several days even before the events he’s invited to.
In his last trip, for instance, he had a one-week State visit to St lucia before attending the BRICS Summit, where Nigeria was merely invited as an observer, though the role was dressed up as “partner” to the invitation, which was more significant. The leaders of actual member countries who attended only arrived a day or two at most for the event.
Nigeria’s insecurity situation, economic hardship, and human suffering have reached their peak. We are now counted among the most insecure nations, the most fragile economies, and the hungriest countries in the world. This dire reality demands the full attention of Mr. President, and his travels should be more within our troubled states and communities, spending time on the ground, and taking decisive action to alleviate the people’s suffering rather than these overseas conferences that contribute little or no tangible value to our nation's woes. And where the trip is necessary at all, it could be attended in just a few days rather than indulging in prolonged, unnecessary absences from a country that requires 24/7 attention.
What our nation needs now is security of lives and properties, economic stability and ensuring that our people have food on their table.
Our President's planned trip of 12 days departing today, if necessary, should have been at most a 5-day trip as the event he was invited to in Japan commences on the 20th.
Nigeria today demands competent leadership with capacity and compassion to start dealing with the problems besetting it with the presence and sacrifice required.
Mr. President must, as a matter of urgency, commence tours of our states with the same enthusiasm he shows for jetting out of the country every month. These visits will enable him to see, listen and learn more about what Nigerians are going through.
Though Nigerians know that our huge problems cannot be solved overnight, they want to see 100% effort and tireless commitment to solving them.
Most importantly, our President must know that he's not a tourist, but the Chief Executive of a troubled nation, so he must have consciousness, strict work schedules and a strict travelling schedule to show that he has a troubled country to quickly return to.
