We don’t need to comment on the event further.
All I’ll add is that this is why you have expertly trained Athletic Trainers, Physicians, and EMTs on the field every game.
Aside from a hospital this athlete was in no better place to be assisted.

@morris_atc In one of my undergrad classes we were learning about wound care and my teacher bought Halloween makeup and we made our own wounds out of tissues, glue, fake blood, and makeup. Then we had to use proper ppe and bandage everyone up. It was a lot of fun!
@MrJeremyJackson@MarciAmeliaAT@dillon_atc_emt@BOCATC I asked the same question. I don’t need mine, but a friend could use them and they said no. Looks to me like if they’re also a Nata member, it shouldn’t be a problem…. 🤷🏻♀️
People think the worst part of being an AT is the long hours and little pay.
Those suck. But let me tell you the actual worst part of my job.
It’s when you have to tell a kid at half time they can’t go back in the second half because they can’t walk on their leg.

@ATCanonymous None of us are perfect, not even the docs. You’re going to miss some stuff, and that’s okay. My favorite and most used saying is “I don’t have X-ray vision”. Important thing is, is that you referred and they caught it!
@ATCanonymous I’ve had some that I was sure was torn, but wasn’t. And some that I didn’t suspect ACL at all, but they were torn. I had one basketball player who I suspected meniscus, but not ACL. Referred to Dr. and he agreed that ACL was intact. Got the MRI for the meniscus and ACL was torn.
