@billbarnwell This is a very specific situation but I have watched it play out several times this year with the Browns/Broncos & Eagles/Rams. The Broncos played it correctly, and the Rams botched it against the Eagles & Patriots. An extra 40 secs against the Eagles was huge.

@billbarnwell The Rams used a timeout with 2:42 left on the clock. It turned out to be irrelevant but wasn’t this a misuse of a timeout? If a team has less than 3 timeouts they should almost always refrain from using a timeout when the next play will take the clock under 2:40.

@billbarnwell Huge error by Sean McVay last night calling a timeout with 2:45 left. I am not sure anyone has brought it up but he cost his team roughly 40 seconds and a better chance to tie the game.

@billbarnwell The last two nights we have seen the same timing/timeout situation occur. Vance Joseph correctly doesn’t use his last timeout and saves his team 40 seconds. Sean McVay misuses his last timeout and potentially costs his team the game.

@AllbrightNFL Same timeout situation as Cle/Den last night but LA uses their last timeout. A mistake if the next play takes 5 seconds.
