“...women are like lionesses at the gate of the home. Whatever happens in a woman's home and family happens because she cares about it and it matters to her. She guards that gate, and if something matters to her, it matters to her family.” -Julie B. Beck

@defense_of_fam This was me 5 years ago.
Still going strong, and am thrilled to be prepping for this fall semester with a new group of youth. You’ll love it, even with the early alarm!

@latterdaylaura The ride called Spaceship Earth, inside the Epcot ball at Disneyworld. Yes, I’m being serious. 😂 My family teases me (lovingly) to this day because I was crying when it was over.
God is in every detail throughout human history.
The Book of Mormon teaches that the Jaredites were a divinely led people who inhabited parts of the Americas for centuries, but it in no way asserts they were the continent’s original or only human settlers.
This discussion has detoured significantly from your original “myth” claim that the BoM teaches that Jews populated the continent in 600 BC. You have moved the goalposts in every single reply.
Please, just read it.
@mormonsNpapists@BlackBlessedLDS If you’d read it, you’d know that it also doesn’t teach that the Jaredites were the first people on the continent.
REALLY, read it.
@mormonsNpapists@BlackBlessedLDS If you’d read it, you’d know it doesn’t teach that the Jews who arrived in 600BC were the first people on the continent.
Really, read it.
This was an unexpected, incredible read. Thank you so much for sharing something so deeply personal. I sit here in tears, my life better for having read this, wishing I could hug both you and your dear mom.
He takes care of *all of it* when we simply turn to Him instead of the world.
“Good catch”, as if this, and the whole thread, is some kind of “gottcha” against the LDS Church, but yet somehow is supposed to be well-meaning. It’s so tiresome. You can’t refute our beliefs when you haven’t bothered to even understand them correctly.
Jesus Christ’s atonement was the most important event in the history of the world. It took place in the Garden (overcoming spiritual death), then on the cross and through the literal resurrection (physical death and overcoming it). We do not elevate one above the other. The whole event is the atonement, it’s heartbreakingly beautiful, and is what allows us all to overcome spiritual and physical death.
I get we have theological differences, and do appreciate that you sincerely believe you are trying to save us, but please at least educate yourself on our actual beliefs before “refuting” them as fact.
I sincerely invite you to start here:

@thatguybil@annbauerwriter Yeah, it’s wild even the infusion center would call it chemo.
But even then, immunotherapy is also not standard of care for stage 0/DCIS, so what are the women in the OP talking about?
