@YossiGozlan@KuKhahil have/would u consider doing an episode for the podcast on the actual in depth salary cap breakdown and explain things like MLE, TPE etc. Idk maybe just me but alot of the fine detail stuff with cap is still murky
@DoeJumars could it be more cap relief based on how we designate Joe's salary. I do not understand the MLE TPE stuff and how it counts toward something like 2nd apron
@DP_NFL@KuKhahil Yes the detroit pistons have too many shooters we simply HAVE to get rid of an elite movement shooter at 6 foot 8 who is by far our best outside threat
@movedmypivot I might’ve misunderstood the report but my interpretation was they are looking for more than the 4/177 offer sheet that another team could offer. If that’s the case ur looking at 45-50M no? I could’ve misunderstood it tbf + idk how reputable Amick is
@movedmypivot I mean I’m not a big Duren fan admittedly after the PS so I may be biased here. Him and Cade have shown a lot of great flashes and I don’t rly want to get rid of him but if the alternative is 50M a year yes I’d trade him and look elsewhere for a center.
@Xontrarian@CadesAttorney I mean I’m not too keen on okc cap situation but surely u cannot pay Cason Chet Ihart SGA and Jdub and field a decent roster still no?
@WrldCade 1 first rounder and 3 swaps(hornets are the worse team) is so cheap. Essentially got him for Reid, 1 st and 3 2nds. Even if the swaps happen minne is never going to be that bad long as they have any
I just want to speak on Isaiah Stewart real quickly before anything else.
Stew is a very good player. I am happy to see how Stew has developed and turned himself into a really good player. He was the heart and soul of this locker room. Versatile defensive player. I like Stew a ton and appreciate how he handled the media. I wish him the very best, sincerely.
With that said, it was made clear to me weeks ago that he would be moved. From DET side, they’re about to pay Duren a ton of money and Paul Reed outplayed both of them in the playoffs on a much cheaper contract. DET did not want to commit that much money to a center room. Along with that, Stew (while being very good) has struggled to finish a season healthy almost every year of his career. That played into this.
From Stew’s side, I believe stew was welcoming of a new start that gives a little more freedom and a bigger role. I believe he wants to shoot threes and more freedom to shoot, and believes he’s capable of doing more (he very well might be right!)
It just made sense for both sides for this offseason to be the one Stew was moved.
