Being a parent, husband and wife, is one of the most amazing blessings that God gave to mankind.

But as much as it's a blessing, it comes with enormous responsibilities.

Raising and taking care of other humans from cradle till they become adults and independent, is a call of nature.

And God never wished for one human to do it alone.

God's plans were for us to do so under the umbrella of marriage, and raise your children as man and wife.

It's a journey, and a daunting one.

For you young and single people, you must learn that to make the journey worthwhile, you should choose right and lay a good foundation for your relationship.

Marriage is a school that you should never graduate from until you die.

In the conventional schools, we take the lessons before getting the certificates.

In marriage, you get the certificate before taking the lessons.

It got so bad that their adverts took over the popular radio stations in Abuja.

Very melodious advert, actually.

Even if you took a short 2 min Taxi, you would hear their Ad.

And as a car owner or driver in Abuja then, music apps were useless, becuase you can't play hit songs better than Abuja radio stations.

So, one day...

I went to the supermarket to get my bathing soap, after a long and hectic trip.

But I couldn't find my exact soap.

And that was the only supermarket still open at that time.

But one thing was sure:

"I'm definitely not going to bed without bathing with soap this night.”

“What good soap can you recommend?” I asked the attendant.

I wasn’t vibing to the suggestions she was bringing, then from nowhere…

“Hawaii Soap ( paranran)..Hawaii Soap...”

Just the chorus part.

The Hawaii Soap advert song started playing in my head.

Next thing:

"Do you guys have Hawaii Soap?" I asked.

And long story short, I used Hawaii Soap for another one year.

You know me too well by now, and already waiting for the point I’m trying to drive, this time.

But before I tell you my point, I’d like to ask you this:

Why do businesses run adverts?

Even when they know that the ad will clearly not bring them any instant or direct money?

Why?

The reason is simple:

To stay on top of people's minds and dominate their memory.

I’ll ask another question:

To what need is wasting money to stay on top of people's minds?

Again, the answer is simple:

Because they know that when you decide to buy, they're the first to ring in your head.

And this is the same for everything you do.

There's no instant or direct benefit the moment you decide to go into a business.

You open your store very early in the morning and close late at night, yet customers are not showing up.

You post across your socials all week, and not a single like, let alone a DM.

You incur important costs, yet sales are not coming.

And the world acts like you don’t exist.

Listen...

You're not failing, you're planting.

If you stop now, you are erasing memory.

Because every single day you show up, you’re teaching the market to remember your name.

So keep your doors open.

Keep posting, keep showing up early, keeep being excellent, even when no one is watching.

Don't disappoint your customers, audience, or clients, in case they decide to show up later this week.
