returning to Proust:
“The ideas formed by the pure intelligence have no more than a logical, a possible truth, they are arbitrarily chosen. The book whose hieroglyphs are patterns not traced by us is the only book that really belongs to us.”
(Time Regained, tr. Scott Moncrieff)
This may very well be too literal of an interpretation. Perhaps even a first of its kind… ah, another selfish thought. I do not know of another single soul who shares the same obligations as I. Within this paragraph, a comfort finds its home encircling my worn soul.
Camus’ Metaphysical Rebellion chapter housed in ‘L’Homme Révolté’ serves as an egotistical reminder that throughout each Renaissance (read: rebirth) of mine, with every oathsworn fight, there is meaning to be found in each death—both mine and theirs.
@tomeltfrost It is no inconvenience. I would not want to impose on your time with custom work. Paint what makes you happy and, should you gift it, this piece will find a place on our office walls.
@tomeltfrost What a sweet but ultimately false sentiment. You belong here. The room needed a touch of artistry. I tell Jingyuan to bring in more of your work, but he is greedy with the rest. The pieces I have the privilege of seeing will remain proudly displayed.
