Researchers have developed a ‘smart’ insulin (NNC2215) that switches on & off based on blood sugar levels, effectively lowering glucose without causing hypos. Created by an international research team, it uses a unique ‘switch’ mechanism to respond to changing glucose levels.
Promising advances towards treating people with #lipodystrophy and #diabetes in this new paper from Dr George McIlroy's lab - the first as lead author by Mansi Tiwari. Thanks to @DiabetesUK for funding this very important #research.
