A deaf client of ours has been waiting over 32 weeks to update their Access to Work support after a promotion. They were told:
“They must be quite busy then.”
New estimate? 40 weeks.
The gov wants to get more disabled people into work — but this makes it impossible. #AccessToWork

You may have seen in the news, or in conversations with colleagues, friends or family, or on social media that the Government wants to make some changes to Access to Work. They are asking for the public's views on this before they make any changes
Making events accessible for deaf people isn’t just about performing interpretations. Improving accessibility requires venues and promoters to make decisions sooner, work together and provide clear information. This helps deaf audiences know if an event has BSL access without waiting or guessing.
At @PerformInterp, we are working hard to support the industry in making events open and welcoming for everyone. We want deaf audiences to feel included, respected, and informed. Together, we are improving access and experience.
