sorry just imagining the several dozen animators and freelancers in the future who are gonna have to animate & clean up yjh’s face and design constantly. how will they do that. how are they gonna adapt kdj’s gay linguistical prowess into visual form
@cactusnotdead hopefully its something thats been greenlit already and theyll be going through the actual production soon??? but it could end up being a case of it being announced early but the actual prod ends up being years later tho , , ,
@lilydally its like the fandom equivalent to the g-note for emo kids 😔 so knowing that it wasnt really like, a canon CANON line after all is kinda shocking shdbdjsb
in the original novel yoo joonghyuk doesn’t actually say “tell me, you fool.” that was A Passing Wanderer taking his own translation liberties. that line doesn’t exist at all.
@zxrysky There's no 'tell me you fool' directly, but I think translator wanted to emphasize yjh calling kdj '네 놈'. Directly translating, it does simply means 'you' but the nuance of this word is more aggressive than just you, and unique way of yjh calling kdj.
@yjh_simp begging. throw a bone for the dumbass eng fans here! this is the line we have memorised & recited by heart and ur telling us it isnt even CANON?

i may have the occasional apprehension over apw's translation choices but this one? he made the executive decision of translating the scene even more gay and i am NOT gonna let his work be for nothing
sorry i will now be disregarding this post for *looks at clock* for the rest of eternity. i do not care if this means i have to wear the clown nose permanently "tell me, you fool," is canon in my dumbass heart
