As part of our government's historic expansion of medical education, we are creating and expanding medical schools across Ontario.

This includes two new medical schools, bringing the total to eight schools that will train our province's future doctors for years to come.

Rural long-term care homes like Braemar Retirement Community in Wingham are at the heart of their communities.

At #LTCEngage2026, second-generation owner Archie MacGowan shared his lifelong connections with many of the residents; and why keeping long-term care close to home matters so much in a small town.

Thank you to everyone who joined Archie and his community on the patio, including Minister @LisaThompsonPC, Huron-Bruce MP Ben Lobb, Reeve of North Huron Paul Heffer, Councillor Mitch Wright, and Esther Miller with Listowel Wingham Hospital, plus all the residents and family members who were part of the day.
