The scale of destruction and suffering in Venezuela is overwhelming. But that is no reason to stand on the sidelines. @WCKitchen We can take the small steps to help: meals for the rescue teams, sandwiches for the families, conversations with the people doing the hard work. To share the message: the world stands with you. #ChefsForVenezuela
@reesetheone1 Jon Ossoff. And she has a shot at Senator if Chuck does the decent thing and steps down. He had his time. Now is not it. But she needs speak about policy publicly and not fall into the abyss of no police, no prisons, no borders ever.
In Texas they can teach kids that a whale swallowed a man and spit him out three days later because God wanted to teach him a lesson but they can't teach kids that slavery was bad.
Just a reminder that Rep Lauren Underwood is the beating heart of the Democratic party. Sheโs ushered 19 bills into law; she consistently wins in a swing district; sheโs a leader on maternal health, particularly for Black women; and she has one of the strongest constituent-service operations in Congress.
And sheโs not even 40 years oldโฆ
@IAmSophiaNelson It blows my mind that my parents built their home in 1973 in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida for $35,000. My dad sold it in 1996 for $200k and it's now worth over a million$. That is some crazy inflation.
@SharonC97936831@Tom_Suozzi You don't even live in Canada. I have stage IV incurable cancer and the I.V.I.G. infusions I'm supposed to get are $2000 out of pocket after insurance. I'm months behind in my rent trying to stay alive for my child. This is a better system here?
3 judges with the International Criminal Court filed a lawsuit in a US federal court against Trump and his administration, challenging the sanctions against them and calling it a "financial death penalty."
The judges bringing the lawsuit are:
- Kimberly Prost (Canada)
- Solomy Balungi Bossa (Uganda)
- Reine Adelaide Sophie Alapini-Gansou (Benin)
Trump placed sanctions on the judges over their judicial decisions regarding investigations into war crimes by Israel and the US.
The judges argue that the sanctions are extrajudicial measures meant to punish and coerce them. They say the restrictions cut them off from banking, online platforms, travel booking, and sometimes health insurance.
This should be much bigger news.
@youngdub774@Virggoguy@Tom_Suozzi I am on disability. Because of PTSD. After I was approved for disability I found out that I had stage IV Leukemia, incurable. I will never not have stage IV cancer for the rest of my life. My costs for https://t.co/88Srk0QckI.G infusions are more than my disability payments.
@mistergeezy Ok. But I marched for Chuck Schumer in the early 90's. I've been marching and knocking on doors for a really long time. He was very effective. And now it's time for him to retire.
@Virggoguy@Tom_Suozzi So fix the problem with the people at at top. Electing anarchists in desperately struggling districts does nothing for the people in those districts. Yes, we need to hold the feet of elected officials to the fire. What has happened is not the way.
@Trey3Royal@tify330 Ritchie is on the ground regularly working for constituents. Has nothing to do with political ideology;he sees where there is need and he does it. Good luck with swooping down with politics when there is a man on the ground helping people.

@reesetheone1 Ritchie actually rolls up his sleeves and works in the district. With the people. With seniors. With veterans. He is incredibly involved with the community and I saw it first hand as a former constituent.
