In the UK, there is currently a 10-year limit to claim against a faulty medical device.

This cruelly starts when the product is manufactured - not when the product is fitted.

We’re standing alongside thousands of women affected by this rule as they campaign to #RaiseTheLimit.

The 10 year longstop limitation can prevent claimants from claiming against the manufacturer of a medical device. Sadly, it can take many years for problems with a device to be recognised and treated seriously, leaving people without access to justice. This law needs to change.
