Nigeria keeps saying it doesn’t have enough doctors.

We have only about 50,000 doctors serving over 200 million people. That's 1 Doctor to over 4,000 patients.

You'd expect every doctor willing to serve to be encouraged.

Instead, one is detained after carrying out a menstrual hygiene outreach in Kaduna State.

Another 238 young doctors who returned home to practise wake up to an unexplained increase in their induction fees from ₦265,000 to over ₦415,000.

We cannot keep discouraging the very people we desperately need.

Just this week, WAEC registration fees jumped from 27k to 50k.
Today, MDCN suddenly increased registration fees for foreign trained doctors, from 260k to 400k.

Everything is going up except people’s incomes.
You can’t keep increasing fees while people’s income remain the same.

What do you mean you're requesting 400k+ to register foreign trained medical student.

What sort of blatant wickedness is this!

The funny thing is that if we don't all unite to fight it, we'll all suffer for it soon.

Because nothing will stop them from requesting that doctors start paying 100k or more to renew license.

How does a country treat healthcare professionals so poorly??

This country cannot run without them, yet they are never paid or treated fairly.

Very soon, we won’t have any doctors in Nigeria.

This is wrong though.
Breast cancer even though has a genetic basis is still multifactorial.

Which means apart from genetics, things like lifestyle, race, exposure to carcinogenic substances, exclusive breastfeeding (in this case), age menstruation was started, menopause and more influence risk of Cancer.

If you trace everyone's family tree back, you'd probably find one chronic illness in the lineage.

If we all used this, no one should be married ,because there is an illness that probably runs in your family too.
