Today we honour National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. We acknowledge that HRCE schools are on Mi’kma’ki the ancestral and unceded territory of the Mi'kmaq people. The Treaties of Peace and Friendship cover this territory. We are all Treaty people.
Our reconciliation tree that the students created, to symbolize healing and unity between indigenous and non indigenous peoples. Each leaf represents their hopes for a more inclusive future. @HollandrdHRCE@HRCE_NS
