A federal judge has ordered the restoration of historical materials that were removed from national parks and historical sites across this country. These are not just signs and exhibits. These are the stories of enslaved people, civil rights leaders, indigenous communities, women who fought for suffrage, and immigrants who helped build this nation. Even with this ruling, the effort to erase our history continues. We will not look away and we will not back down.
Yesterday the Hardrock casino in Fort Lauderdale Florida draped itself in the Juneteenth flag. For those who aren’t aware the hardrock is owned by Seminole Indians.
Imagine Trump ever being invited to join a photo like this — not in a million years.
Four presidents. Zero drama. Just smiles, respect, and a shared love of country. 🇺🇸
Powerful truth from Michelle Obama that we must never forget: Strong men don't need to put down women to feel powerful. Real strength lifts others up.
Donald Trump doesn’t show strength; he shows us what weakness looks like.
To George and Laura, Bill and Hillary — we're grateful for your friendship, counsel, and devotion to this country. And to Joe and Jill, thank you for being on this journey with us.
I love that a Black woman is responsible for this. 😂
Shout out to @RepBeatty for filing the lawsuit to get Trump‘s name removed from the Kennedy Center
I feel strongly about this: journalists have an ethical responsibility to call these election lies what they are. We just stop hiding behind the euphemistic “without proof.” Or democracy is fragile and under assault. Patrician journalistic niceties serve no one is a moment of crisis, not even journalism. We are called to reveal and convey truth. It starts with every interaction. It starts in the moment. It starts to their faces. It feels good to be free to do what I think is right.

Can you imagine as a prerequisite all seniors choose a kindergartners to mentor and teach....... teaching the seniors patience and pride, and the kindergartners have someone to look up to ( not in their family)
And when the seniors graduate, the kindergartners will graduate with them (into first grade)
That would be an AWESOME program!
Lt. General Russell Honore testified before the Louisiana Legislature, asserting that the recent SCOTUS decision can be corrected by the State legislature if it chooses to do so. He is a hero admired by many. #DemsUnited
Everyone needs to watch @Justinjpearson's floor speech from the TN State House.
"Today, you will take the only Black-majority district from us. But I want you to know: No matter what you do, no matter how much you try to break us & make us bend & quit — we will still be here."
Hope isn’t blind optimism — it arises in the face of uncertainty. If you look at our history, we’ve gone through some rough patches. But we tend to come out on the other side of them stronger than before.
