Camino Day 0 ✈️
Today I fly off with 21 other courageous people to take on the biggest endurance challenge of our lives for @wearepreventBC
Many of whom are breast cancer survivors themselves 🙏🏼
I am doing it in memory of @LisaLynch & many others.

Just watched the #Eurovision2023 Queens dance - bloomin' marvelous. I think of @LisaLynch when Eurovision comes around and I think she would have loved this year 👍
Good luck to our first team skipper @HarveyHosein16 who is running the @LondonMarathon tomorrow for an extremely worthy cause 👏
If you are able to donate some cash to @trinityhospice to help spur him on, you can do so here

Whilst looking at someone’s account here (a Notts cricketer), I spotted we had a mutual friend and then saw it was @LisaLynch. I never actually met Lisa, but she was an absolute inspiration and she was taken much too soon. What a loss she was. RIP, kid.
The C Word by @lisalynch - P191 - No matter how far up the motorway you drive, and however little space you leave in your suitcase, cancer still finds a way to come with you
@Sheridansmith1@LisaLynch Thank you both. I've just finished chemo and have surgery in December. Perfectly accurate portrayal, brilliantly acted and written. I cried for the first time since my diagnosis because it's the first story I've heard that resonates with my take on this bull shit.
On a rare night on my own I scanned the skybox and found ‘The C Word’ from 2015. I did watch it at the time but so glad I have done so again. Beautiful performance from Sheridan Smith but most of all the wonderful words and life of @LisaLynch x
@JamesDMcFarlane @Sheridansmith1@LisaLynch@BBCOne Brilliant book that got me through breast cancer x amazing Lisa became my hero x and Sheridan has always been my favourite actress xx I read the book once a year at least and have seen the drama at least 5 times it’s brilliant funny and heartbreaking xx
@JamesDMcFarlane @Sheridansmith1@LisaLynch@BBCOne They captured her and you all so beautifully. Weirdly I watched it today not knowing it was 5 years since it aired. I love it. Miss her x
@ericabuist@LisaLynch They made a drama out of her book, with Sheridan Smith in the lead, and that moment's in the film. If I didn't know it had actually happened I'd have assumed they'd written it for the drama. You really couldn't have made that up.
@ericabuist Amazing! The most bitter-sweet version of this sort of story I know is my late friend the lovely @LisaLynch, who upon being given counselling after being told her cancer was incurable was recommended HER OWN BOOK on living with cancer.
Sometimes I miss my mate @LisaLynch so much I put on #thecword so I can watch our lovely @Sheridansmith1 bring her back again for an hour. She was a real whip smart pal was our Lisa.
