Lisandro Martinez and Malacia are incredible signings. It’s not only their ability, their passion and desire it’s what makes them special and makes the other players leave their lungs on the pitch. We needed so bad this kind of players.

[Steven Bartlett @StevenBartlett]

Before this conversation, I thought I understood Bruno Fernandes.

I knew the numbers. The goals, the assists, the leadership, the criticism he’s faced over the years at Manchester United.

But I didn’t understand the mentality behind it.

Bruno has arguably become United’s greatest player of the post-Ferguson era, carrying their creativity season after season.

He’s won more club player of the year awards than Ronaldo, and only five players have scored more than his 70 league goals.

So I went to Manchester United Training Ground to ask him questions the footballing world wants to know.

Bruno spoke about growing up in Porto, watching his father sacrifice his own football career to provide for the family. He told me his dad never praised him for scoring goals. Instead, he’d point out the small things he still needed to improve.

And somehow that mindset shaped one of the most resilient athletes in world football.

We spoke about:

- Why he believes character matters more than talent in elite teams.
- How dressing room culture determines whether talent succeeds or fails.
- Why taking risks is essential if you want to create anything extraordinary!
- His honest opinion on pressure and why he thinks it’s a privilege.
- His thoughts on having Michael Carrick as a manager.
- Addressing Roy Keane’s criticism.

When you listen to Bruno speak, you understand that what makes him exceptional isn’t just technical ability. It’s his standards.

The standards he holds himself to.
The standards he expects from teammates.
The standards he believes define culture.

I really respect how Bruno chose to join United during instability because he believed in rebuilding something meaningful rather than joining an “easy” project.

I saw a much softer and more thoughtful side of Bruno that I don’t think people will expect. So, thank you Bruno for taking the time to sit down with me and for being so vulnerable.

Even if you don’t care about football, there’s a huge amount to learn from this conversation about leadership, resilience and high performance.

I mean, it's nothing new.
We have conceded 2 corners to a team that can score only corners.

I'll take it. Phase 9 Arteta can't outplay Game 4 Amorim without corner glitch.

They might as well sack Arteta and just keep the set-piece coach at this point.

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@AmorimEra_ Never think again 🔥🔥🔥🔥

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Do whatever it takes I’m on my knees

🚨 Manchester United have shown RECENT interest in Germany manager Julian Nagelsmann. #MUFC [@alex_crook, @talkSPORT]

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

When is he gonna get sacked? I’m starting to dislike football istg #mufc

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@UtdEIIis I’m begging for Naggelsmann

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@TenHagEra Casemiro/Ugarte - Eriksen - Amad

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Do whatever is needed to bring him. I’m begging

[centredevils. @centredevils]

🚨🚨| NEW: Julian Nagelsmann is really interested in #mufc - he has a clear plan of his career and United are part of that. However, at the moment, there is no chance for United as Nagelsmann wants to be in charge of Germany for the 2026 World Cup. [@cfbayern, @mufcMPB]

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@FinleyKing_ Deffensively yes, offensively was an absolute disgrace

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@UtdEIIis This means someone has made them think that yesterday’s was a decent performance and something to be proud of. All of them lot is acting in their socials as if yesterday’s was a good result.

Unbelieveable.

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

I’m absolutely against appointing Southgate, but why tf would they consider the fanbase opinion, if they think he is the right man for the job just sign him. I just hope they don’t truly think he is. #mufc

[mufcmpb @mufcMPB]

🚨 Manchester United are aware appointing Gareth Southgate as manager would not be well received by the fanbase. #MUFC [@MelissaReddy_]

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Sack him.

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Ugarte. Losing possession in our third, misplacing passes, not playing forward passes and consistently slowing the game. I don’t rule him off but he definitely has to improve his game. #mufc

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@TenHagEra Yes, you have 0 ball knowledge

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@utdscope @UtdEIIis Stop it

Manchester Utd decides my mental health for the next 10 months.

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Right decision. Zubimendi my favourite option rn

[David Ornstein @David_Ornstein]

🚨 EXCL: Man Utd switch midfielder search away from Manuel Ugarte & onto other options. #MUFC don’t intend to meet ~€60m fee + will only revisit if #PSG price drops. No progress yet, talks cooled + exploring other top targets for right deal @TheAthleticFC https://t.co/pf83VniEet

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

Why would you even bother negotiating a 50£M deal for Ugarte when you can get a better player in Zubimendi for 50M€?

[centredevils. @centredevils]

🚨🚨| #mufc are in open dialogue with PSG over Manuel Ugarte and are also interested Youssouf Fofana and Martin Zubimendi. [@skysports_sheth]

[Lisandrism 🇪🇸 @LisandrismoUTD]

@FabrizioRomano What about Zubimendi
