This training was recently recommended to me: "Calling In: Creating Change Without Cancel Culture."
I liked the practical focus of it. It's offered by Loretta J. Ross and you can find the details here: https://t.co/OlncUuxTtm
I look forward to finding the time to attend.

More highlights from my "sort of" sabbatical in August -- getting to spend time with family.
Biking with my niece and dinner out with my cousins.
~ Lisa
As part of my semi-sabbatical in August, I got to bike some of the Mesabi bike trail that goes from Grand Rapids, MN to Ely, MN.
Two highlights - going over the highest bridge in Minnesota (on my bike) and seeing a bear on the trail.

Team agreements are vital to high functioning teams. They describe how you want to be together. Agreements, norms, values, or simple rules, it's hard to keep them alive after the team develops them. Here's my PDF with four ideas to help: https://t.co/xLcfD8VkNz
Join me in-person for my popular training, Cultivating Thriving Supervisory Relationships, in September. Details and registration: https://t.co/IlvhNBtm9B

I was inspired by a recent webinar hosted by The Nonprofit Quarterly on co-leadership. They talked about having both a co-CEO and a co-board chair. I love learning about horizontal or co-leadership models.
More and more we are needing to change our models and ways of working.
For the first time since becoming an independent consultant, I'm taking (most of) the month of August off. I plan to rest, rejuvenate, get outside, get to some tasks that always get put off, and read.
Here's the stack of books I've gathered for August. Anything I should add?
I appreciate this article, "11 Anti-racist Actions You Can Take at Work - Today and Every Day", from The Muse:

Number 4 stands out to me: Always Be Recruiting
Executive director evaluations are a great time for open, honest and generative dialogue between the ED and board of directors. You can get on the same page about the direction of the organization. What have been your experiences? What's worked well and what's fallen short?
