Useful up to date Ombudsman decision reminding councils (yet again) of their responsibility to secure full advice and information when carrying out EHC needs assessments - https://t.co/ZvRMYK57SO https://t.co/ZvRMYK57SO
Finalising my layout for ' You can't be friends with a Troll, Dotty!' Today. Will be using a dyslexia/Visual Stress friendly font chosen by my little girl so we can actually read it when it's published! #IrlenSyndrome#Visualstress#amwriting#kidsfiction@LisaVSCltd
It seems most people wouldn't ask their 16 yr old child to leave their home & tell them they can't support them anymore and tell them this isn't their home anymore and they have to go on their own from here.
Would you? RT if NO or tweet -

IPSEA is frequently contacted about local authorities refusing to carry out EHC needs assessments. We have created a refusal to assess pack which gives a detailed guide to preparing for and carrying out a refusal to assess appeal. Find it here: https://t.co/0uMpFTZzgK
We work with so many amazing, gifted and wonderful clients who have ASD, this just makes us incredibly sad and somewhat frustrated. #differentnotstupid#neurodiverse
Reading my sons recent PIP assessment during my complaint about the nurse assessor and noticed she's written my son has a "neurological disease."
He's got autism.
It not a bacterial infection.
It's not catching.
It can't be cured.
His brain works differently.
Always will!
This is just heartbreaking but so true. Why is it so hard to simply help our children to learn??? We can support you with a specialised ehcp geared report, please don’t hesitate to ask!
.@bbceducation article today highlights the thousands of children with #SEND waiting too long for an EHC plan; there are statutory timesclaes for EHC assessments - if these are NOT complied with you should complain. Follow our guidance: https://t.co/jlFsLHzeHp
@lewisianbray @DyslexiaScotInv @scriptationapp You can do this through several apps - bear with me whilst I find the links! I teach drama when I’m not diagnosing visual stress. Also, there’s an app called line learner which has a free version 😊
@sydney_dyslexia @Visual_Stress @DyslexiaScotInv @ActionDyslexia@debbiehepp@crossbow_ed@IrlenFoundation Which is both patronising & demeaning to myself & others suffering with visual stress.
I suggest you calm down and allow your mind to be opened to the possibility that you don’t yet know it all.
I’ve been working with clients all day, changing lives for the better - goodnight.
@sydney_dyslexia @Visual_Stress @DyslexiaScotInv @ActionDyslexia@debbiehepp@crossbow_ed@IrlenFoundation You’re very good at saying ‘I’ve got nothing more to say,’then saying more. You are consistently rude & state ridiculous things. I don’t feel the need to justify myself to you or argue with you. Your mind is closed and decided before I say a word. What I would say is this:
@sydney_dyslexia @Visual_Stress @DyslexiaScotInv @ActionDyslexia@debbiehepp@crossbow_ed@IrlenFoundation Before you criticise or discount what I do - to a very high and professional level - check your facts out. You have no idea what I do or how I do it because you haven’t been polite enough to ask. You discount 1000’s of peoples symptoms without any further regard
