Have had calls over the last couple of weeks producers looking to purchase gear with the eID rebate in NSW. Need to narrow down the why & what, then explore the how & when. Im running some workshops this week-Hay, Yass, Crookwell, Boorowa if interested. https://t.co/tlQrfKyFBH
Do you live near Nyngan, Dunedoo or Parkes? This is a great opportunity to get a plan for implementing eID on your farm. @sallymartin777 has over 20 years experience working in this space. https://t.co/tOpToh1rgZ
The best evidence that soil health is rarely a big factor in crop yield is organic farming. It often shows increased soil health (due to use of compost/manure) but also lower crop yields.

Today we published our review on the influence of grazing management on soil carbon in Australia. Increases in soil carbon could not be detected with increased intensity of grazing management or lower stocking rates.

@agronomistag Do you know how many species were actually persisting in each of the treatments after the initial sowing? (Couldn't find this info in my quick read).

There is no evidence for the existence of an ideal ratio or a balanced soil.

@allisterjm@paradooprime @KerinPollMerino @Fergenetics Good data for Vic in AgVic's livestock farm monitor project reports. Average lamb marking for wool flocks in SWVic in 2021/22 was 91% & Nth Vic was 92%. Can find in appendices good summary tables of variation between years & regions.
@roseycatherine @RiverinePlains@trevie15 Great story. Agree transitioning to non mulesed needs to be planned with breeding & mgt decisions. We have some excellent outcomes with clients taking a strategic approach. At the end of the day, how quickly you can move, depends on your starting point, not 1 size fits all.
We are holding a Transition to Non Mules f'day this Friday 16th June near Young, part of the @meatlivestock Producer Demo Project, presenting the current outcomes of the demo sites + some practical sessions scoring dag, urine & wrinkle. To register https://t.co/T6qNhRxwad
