This map illustrates a theoretical feature of the U.S. Electoral College.

Because nearly every state awards all of its electoral votes to the statewide winner, a candidate could theoretically become president by winning the red states by the narrowest possible margin, 50.1% to 49.9%, while losing every blue state overwhelmingly.

Under those assumptions, the candidate would win the required 270 electoral votes despite receiving only about 22% of the nationwide popular vote.

It is an extreme mathematical scenario rather than a realistic election outcome, but it demonstrates how the Electoral College can produce a winner without a majority, or even a large plurality, of the national popular vote.

Thomas Massie just set a trap for the next Attorney General, Todd Blanche, by introducing his new Epstein Files Transparency Act 2.

The bill would require the U.S. Attorney General to cooperate with state Attorneys to help prosecute Jeffrey Epstein's top clients under state law.

The bill aims to provide maximum disclosure of all the crimes against children that took place at Epstein's Zorro Ranch property.
