I am impressed! This team of welders was given 5 hours to build a metal sculpture using only scrap metal. They could have taken the easy way out and made abstract art, but they took on the challenge of building an offset bbq smoker to showcase their skills. @TECCwest

Congratulations Anthony & Kip for placing 1st and 3rd at the UTI Dallas welding competition! They were awarded $10,000 in tuition scholarships and $1,000 worth of tools for their trade. @TECCwest @lisdcte

Today we attended the NTX Weld Wars competition at the TSTC Red Oak campus. Our students earned 10 welding certifications, multiple recognitions for top placements🥇, new welding gear and $48,500 in scholarships! @TECCwest @lisdcte

Today we were competing in the NTX Weld Wars hosted at TSTC Red Oak. Patrick won 🥇 1st place overall in the Vertical Up Stick Welding Competition! He was awarded $7,500 in scholarships and loaded up with new gear from the sponsors.

We left campus at 5am to compete in the LeTourneau University Welding Competition. Our students excelled in several events, with Kip M. earning 1st place overall for the torch cutting division. Collectively, our class was awarded over $15,000 in scholarships and prizes!

Today we attended the Navarro County Fire Pit Build-off in Kerens, Tx. Our team passed 5 welding certification tests and they were awarded $3,000 in scholarships as a result of their superb craftsmanship and attention to detail. @TECCwest @lisdcte

This "heavy metal" guitar is looking better and better every day!! Our welding students Siddie and Eli used the CNC plasma cutter to make the new frame and the original neck to create this unique piece of art!

We're so proud of our welding students this year! This semester, they've already earned 95 IBCs! These industry-based certifications will get our young welders into the field with a huge leg up!

Just another day on campus with students doing what they do. @lisdweld building a scaled model of the Eiffel Tower. Will be 11' tall when it is completed. Can't wait to see the final product. We will have our own piece of Paris in Lewisville, TX. @LewisvilleISD @lisdcte
