Other concrete ideas for how privileged/established scholars can work to help marginalized scholarship/voices in #Classics -- (mostly along the lines of 'actively sharing and/or giving up some room for others to flourish)
I’ve teamed up with @CosiOdyssey and @hannahparker000 to organise a Twitter Space all about mythology, called GO HARD OR GO HOMER!
Every Monday at 6pm BST, the 3 of us will be talking about heroes, gods, and monsters featured in Homer. And we’ll be doing them FOR A WHOLE MONTH!
@justjess_PhD And make sure to include your own sickness, decompression, humanity! Tenured ppl especially, we’ve got to model for more jr faculty and our students what compassionate, anti-ableist pedagogy can look like!

Some of us never feel like we’re good enough.
I think THAT is where at least some of the RSD comes from.
Yesterday’s storm knocked a tree down in my yard. Like a mom lifting a car off her child, I grabbed my trusty saw, freed many garden plants from branches. The house, afaik, fought and defeated the falling trunk. The electrical wires were not so lucky. #madisonwi
@geotransversals@lizgloyn I was open about one of my disabilities (depression) during the t-t process and how it changed my teaching strategies, but never discussed it in terms of my scholarly output until after I got tenure
