Its Election Day! And anti-genocide voters will not be erased in the battleground state of WI—
We encourage every1 to vote & vote their conscience. As we gather at the polls, the 50+ children killed by Israeli strikes this weekend & 35 people just this morning weigh on our minds
@theintercept The first is from Halah Ahmad, an organizer in Wisconsin with @listentowi who speaks on the pain of being Palestinian American in this election cycle and being asked to support a party that is funding a genocide of her friends and family:

WI Uninstructed voters are doubling down on a pro-peace agenda with our new campaign: Ceasefire First, Votes Next
We're not going to let Palestinian death be erased in this election when US bombs continue to fuel massacres & war crimes.

FEMA said last week it faces a nearly $9 billion shortfall for Hurricane Helene recovery efforts.
On the same day, Israel announced a $8.7 billion weapons package from the US.
Our tax dollars are funding Israeli war crimes instead of the investments we desperately need here.
How do you win in Wisconsin? #NotAnotherBomb
No more weapons for a war most Americans don't support while families struggle here at home. No more weapons for genocide.
TODAY: Democratic voters are rallying in Madison, Wisconsin, calling on Biden-Harris to unite the party by ensuring not get another bomb goes to kill Palestinian families.
"Palestine is a tipping point in a much longer path of policy failures left unaddressed for our communities....
"Biden has broken promises to the #Latino immigrant community and immigrant communities more broadly. Not only has he failed to absorb 2 million asylum seekers as promised, he has also continued the Trump legacy of vilifying immigrants with ICE’s 287(g) programs....
"Biden can and must use executive action to end the 287(g) program and provide work permits to immigrants and those who come to the country seeking asylum. Without that kind of action, it is impossible to ensure basic safety and rights for immigrant communities."

"The uninstructed votes on Gaza in Wisconsin are a bellwether of broader misalignment between this administration and the progressive, minority and young voters that secured [Biden's] victory in 2020....
"No media spin can bring back the legitimacy of this party to our voter base, only a change in policy can do that. It’s time to listen to Wisconsin."

"Our voters’ demands are clear: End the war by imposing a permanent cease-fire in Gaza now, end military funding to Israel’s far right-wing government, end the siege that continues to cripple any chances of peace and ensure the full entry of humanitarian aid with funding to UNRWA."
In @TheHillOpinion today from grassroots leaders in Wisconsin:

More than 48,000 in Wisconsin voted uninstructed in the Democratic primary to denounce Biden's handling of the war in Gaza.
Organizer @HalahAhmad says his administration ignoring “a clear warning sign… that voters demand an end to the war in Gaza… is risking our democracy.”
TONIGHT AT 8: The growing movement in Wisconsin against President Biden's Israel policy is gaining momentum. They want him to end this support and end this war... now. @HalahAhmad talks to @AymanM on how Wisconsin voters are taking a stand.
I wish western powers showed the same amount of outrage for the 33k Palestinians slaughtered as they’ve shown for the 7 international aid workers murdered this week.
We wouldn’t have 33k dead Palestinians if they had.
It really isn’t fair, all of this loss. It isn’t.
I talked to Democratic state reps in Wisconsin warning Biden that the party will permanently lose voters, and the White House, without a ceasefire.
My latest for the @guardian
“Nobody wants fascism in November,” @FrancescaHongWI shared. And that’s precisely why Democrats in swing states urge Biden to shift course in Gaza if they want any chance to win the White House, this election season and beyond.”

@black_coreyNFin The protest vote was DOUBLE what Biden won Wisconsin in 2020. If he keeps doing the shit he’s doing then he better be prepared to lose.
So no, I wouldn’t call yesterday a “win” for him.
He lost Michigan on February 27.
He lost Wisconsin on April 2.
Unless he calls for an immediate, permanent ceasefire and stops writing checks to fund a genocide, he will lose on November 5.
100,000 Uncommitted voters in Michigan.
48,000 Uninstructed voters in Wisconsin.
This administration must change course concerning Israel-Palestine.
No more aid.
