Your mess is part of the growth.
Hard seasons can feel like nothing is moving, but some of the deepest growth happens where no one can see it yet. The things you wish you could skip may be the very things shaping you into someone stronger. Don't be ashamed of where you are right now, because your story is still unfolding.
SLEEP IS THE BEST MEDITATION. Rest is not wasted time. A tired mind becomes more reactive, less focused, and often more emotional. Sometimes the most productive thing we can do is stop trying to push through exhaustion. - His Holiness The Dalai Lama
It’s officially heat season in NYC!

Last night, the People’s House was filled with joy and abundance as we celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival under the glow of the Harvest Moon.
From Chinese mooncakes to Korean songpyeon and Vietnamese lanterns, East and South Asian communities bring the depth, breadth, and richness of their cultures to our city every day.
But across New York, they’re united by a shared belief: everyone deserves a seat at the table.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival, New York City.
Tonight, millions of Canadians from East and Southeast Asian communities will gather under the full autumn moon to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival or Mooncake Festival.
Marked by colourful lanterns, mooncakes, and shared meals, the festival brings families together to offer gratitude for life, the harvest, and traditions passed from one generation to the next.
I wish a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival to all those celebrating.
A rare moment from Peng Liyuan’s visit to Washington.
At the Smithsonian, children from Hope Chinese School sang Chinese folk songs, and Peng softly sang along to “Jasmine Flower.”
For a moment, China’s First Lady returned to the identity that made her famous decades ago: a singer.
🔥🚨 JUST IN — Melania and Madame Peng just stopped to hear young kids sing, and Peng LIT UP.
They were moving through the Smithsonian program.
Then the children started, and she FELL IN LOVE. That is the First Lady track doing what it is supposed to do.
Melania hosted the moment on American ground. Peng reacted like a guest who got something she did not script.
Cute stop. Real visit. Oval is still closed-press across town. Dinner still tonight.
What is important is not so much how long you live as whether you live a meaningful life. This doesn’t mean accumulating money and fame, but being of service to your fellow human beings. It means helping others if you can, but even if you can’t do that, at least not harming them.
