BREAKINGNEWS: Secretary Marco Rubio stated during a congressional hearing that the war with Iran is over. Here is Iran bombing US bases in Kuwait just hours later. We are being led by idiots and liars. 🚨
Oh God.
Russian strike on Yampil, Sumy region.
Two people killed, four more injured.
Russia is deliberately hurting Ukrainian civilians wherever and whenever it can.
“Mercredi says First Nations have not given consent and will stop the referendum in any way they can, including getting in the way of industry, or, in his words, "getting out on the highway."

Trump calls Putin and Zelenskyy "two very good people" 🤦♀️
Yeah, the guy who invaded a neighboring state and has been drowning it in blood for five years, for no reason other than wanting to go down in history as a great conqueror, is definitely not a "good person".
Heather McPherson: I think what Danielle Smith is doing in Alberta is weaponizing and giving fuel to a separatist movement ... It's a mistake. It's a premier that is trying to distract from her failures.
Lots of pro russian Irish people telling me to ‘go to the front lines & leave Ireland’
I’ve just come here from Nikopol. The press armour is still in my bag. I watched Russian drones hunt civilians with my own eyes. That’s why the indifference here is so despicable, especially while Ireland still supplies alumina to Russias war machine.
I’m not going anywhere. This investigation continues
June 4 is the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression. It honours kids affected by war and violence. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine began, at least 707 Ukrainian children have been killed. Behind every number is a child whose future has been stolen. Russia must be held accountable for these crimes.

Rubio: I have never seen Trump fall asleep.
Lieu: I’m going to show you a video that shows you just lied to congress. Here is a video of him asleep while you are talking.
Sainsbury's has cracked the climate. Brown eggs are out, white eggs are in, because the white ones come with a 12.7% smaller carbon footprint.
The hens that lay white eggs are a bit smaller and eat slightly less feed. That is the whole breakthrough. Not less eggs, not fewer hens, not one cow spared. A marginally lighter chicken.
This is what corporate net zero has been reduced to. A grocer that pledged a billion pounds and sponsored COP26 now hunting carbon savings in the colour of an eggshell, while telling you it is "better for the environment and the hens." The planet is saved one paler breakfast at a time.
The same chain vacuum-packed its mince into mush for the climate. Now it wants applause for changing the shell colour of an egg that tastes, by its own admission, exactly the same.
A cow on a hill turns grass no human can eat into food, on land that grows nothing else. That is real, ancient, irreplaceable efficiency. Sainsbury's looked at the entire food system and decided the frontier of planetary salvation was a whiter egg.
Somewhere a marketing department is very proud. The hen has no idea it is on a mission.
Until about 1950, mutton was the meat of Britain. Lamb was for special occasions. Mutton was the everyday meat: sheep slaughtered at three or four years old, with deep red flesh and intense flavour, fed entirely on hill grass.
A mutton chop with caper sauce was Tuesday's dinner.
Then the trade chased lamb instead, because lamb is tender, forgiving, and finishes in months rather than years. Mutton vanished from the supermarkets and the national palate with it. By 1975, asking a butcher for a mutton chop earned you a blank look. We swapped a deep, grass-fed, four-year-old flavour for soft pink uniformity and forgot the better meat had ever existed.
King Charles, then Prince of Wales, launched a Mutton Renaissance Campaign in 2004 to drag it back. It is winning slowly, against a country that no longer remembers what it lost.
The recipe:
- 4 mutton chops, on the bone, about 2cm thick.
- Salt. Black pepper.
- 2 tablespoons beef dripping or lamb fat.
For the caper sauce:
- 30g butter.
- 2 tablespoons plain flour.
- 500ml mutton or lamb stock.
- 3 tablespoons capers, drained.
- 1 tablespoon caper brine.
- A squeeze of lemon.
- Salt, pepper, a handful of parsley.
Season the chops well, rest at room temperature 30 minutes. Heat the dripping smoking hot in a heavy pan. Sear the chops two minutes a side, then turn down and cook 4 more minutes a side. Rest on a warm plate.
For the sauce: melt butter, stir in flour, cook 2 minutes. Slowly whisk in the stock. Simmer until thick. Add capers, brine, lemon, parsley.
Pour over the chops.
You will spend the rest of the week wondering why nobody told you what mutton tastes like.
The Trump administration has been telling you they had screwworm under control for months. Now, it's here.
What happened? Trump and DOGE slashed funding for screwworm monitoring programs.
And the entire GOP let them. Thank them for today's new hell they unleashed on you.

🇺🇸🤡 The Retreat of the weakest Superpower in history.
Putin did not defeat the United States militarily. He did not need to. He simply looked Trump in the eye, and Trump tucked his tail and trotted home.
On June 3rd, U.S. European Command confirmed it. A third of America’s fighter jets assigned to NATO, gone. Half its strategic bombers, gone. Submarine commitments, eliminated entirely. The Financial Times reported the cuts were more sweeping than anyone had expected.
European capitals are not panicking. They are seething. The reaction across the continent is not fear, it is contempt. Cold, quiet, lasting contempt for a man they have watched perform weakness for years and are now watching formalise it in writing. Europeans despise weakness. They have a long memory for it. And they will not forget this.
Trump is described across Europe, by serious people in serious rooms, as the most cowardly president America has ever produced. Not dangerous. Not unpredictable. Cowardly. A man who mistakes grovelling for diplomacy and calls it a deal. In Warsaw, Tallinn, Paris and Berlin the verdict is the same: America turned out to be considerably smaller than advertised. The paper tiger accusation Washington spent decades throwing at its rivals has come home. It fits perfectly.
Russia and China are not hiding their amusement. Putin did not fire a shot. He just needed Trump to perceive strength and respond the way Trump always responds to strength: with immediate, grateful submission.
American generals and admirals are furious and humiliated. Officers who spent careers building the structures that kept the peace are watching it get packed into boxes by a man who flinches when Putin clears his throat. The word used in private, repeatedly, is embarrassing.
Every soldier, sailor and general in the United States Armed Forces knows exactly what has happened here. They just cannot say it out loud. Because the man who gave the order is still in the building.
